Hahah, I totally need to update here though. So many new costumes, so little time to flaunt them on the interwebs.

hey I'm the Kamen Rider Decade cosplayer who was going around snapping pictures, unfortunately I have to inform that due to some minor problems my shot of you and your friend oxfordcommacosplay didn't come out that well, I have a journal post on my profile about it which I'll update later tonight

Hi! I'm the Lavi, from D. Gray-Man, that came to your panels at WausaubiCon. I just wanted to say that I actually had found your Harry Potter Caplets on Etsy before I met you. And I just want to say I think they are a wonderfully adorable way to do the caps. Β Β

Hi there! I saw your post on tumblr of this harvest moon cosplay here [link]
I need to make a shirt almost exactly like that before June and I have been trying to figure out how to do the neck line like that. Do you happen to have a pattern of this shirt by any chance? Thanks so much in advance

bluetie In reply to Sweet-Hime [2013-03-29 22:05:43 +0000 UTC]
Unfortunately I don't. My shirt was entirely winged/made up on the fly. Used my dress form as a rough line for the neckline. However, I cut my collar at 2.5", roll hemmed the edge with my serger, sewed it with a 1/2" seam allowance and then flipped the seam down and stitched it twice to keep the collar up and not droopy. That part took me a little bit to figure out.
The collar is a single piece (as I didn't need it to be super fancy) of fabric gathered. You won't have to worry about roll hemming if you're doing a more traditional collar (the 2 pieces sewn together/flipped/pressed/etc) than what I did for mine.
Depending, you may want to look for victorian era patterns (as I know some of the many brands carry them) or something that may allow for modifications.
Hope this is of some help!
