Haha, yeah. He's definitely the more lenient/nicer of the two. However, it's still fairly hard when you have 7 other classes to juggle. >.> All of them studio except one. Did you have Savas?

I understand the juggling all studios o.o It's tough, I had typography and rendering together amidst everything else.

Yes, I had Savas, though I sat in on Dowd's class every week the semester after. They teach very differently, but I'd say Savas was more helpful in the technical department, Dowd allowed for more expression.

Oh really? Savas honestly scares me a bit. I heard some not so good things when it comes to him helping you create your schedule. That's completely different from teaching tough. It seems like he teaches well. It's very true that Dowd allows expression. He's also very nice when he critiques.

It's very odd that we haven't met yet, since it's such a small school! I guess we'll have to do that sometime. If not by planning, we probably will eventually. Haha.

Actually, I'm just a strait Illustration major (don't let typography fool you, we've gotta take it, too x.x)

Savas intimidated me a little, but I've had a couple of classes with him so I've determined that the things that I thought were scary are really just funny quirks in his personality, lol. He's just a bit matter-of-fact in critiques.

It really is funny how many people I don't know in this tiny school haha, but I'm sure I'll see you around if I recognize you

Ah, I see. I'm actually an Animation major and then an Illustration minor. It's different from the hybrid in that I have to take an additional 15 units. However, I get to focus more on animation and then pick and choose my animation courses.

I transferred as well. However, out of the 70 units I've taken, only 20 transferred . So I have to start over again. I didn't mind taking the additional 15 since I had some of my liberal courses taken care of already.
