yeah I'm taking interior design and painting and it is AWESOME. Sanfran is soooo fun now that I know how to get around by myself XD not to mention there are SO MANY COOL SHOPS. I hecka wanna go to new york though. I think we might go sometime in august after my classes are done. You should seriously come next year though. are you gonna do art school after high school? AND ARE YOU STILL COMING TO STUDY IN AMERICA FOR SENIOR YEAR? Go to Pratt in NY with me. Or SVA. i have big plans for my future = P

Damn, interior design? That's so cool! I want to study interior design toooo. OH, you drive now? Or do you mean just getting around SanFran by walking? I really miss America right now, hahaha... (especially Yoswirl -grin-). Sad... there's not really any chance that you can drop by NY when I'm still there yea? I'm so hyped up about going there not only 'cause of the classes but also because my dad told me there will be sales all around at that time... wahhahahahaa! Hmm... your mom told mine that you guys will be going back to Taiwan in Aug--and that I *might* be able to see you guys if I'm still there -crosses fingers- It's not definite yet, though.

Art school after high school? You mean for college? Definitely O_O! And ah.. about the senior year thing... I don't think so. The teachers I have for my subjects here at school are good, and switching systems in the last year of high school will be too big a change for me to get used to it properly. I want to go to Parson's for college! But it will be too expensive unless I get a good scholarship offer... so chances are I will be going to FITNYC more. We can still hang out with each other over the weekends anyway since we'll be in NY! Ahhh, it's all your fault that I'm so excited now. T__T;;;;;

Yesssssssss I want to go to Cali soon... I did ask my dad if I can drop by Cali after my summer course... but it seems like I won't be able to because I will be going to Taiwan instead. Let's try to meet up then!

Yeahhh I really want to go to Parsons! I have this friend that has a high chance of getting into Parsons if she decides to apply there because her grandfather used to work there. What a lucky girl, right? T__T HEYHEY LET'S GO TO PARSONS TOGETHER. D Bohahahaha. Eh, my summer course starts this coming Monday and the last class will be on July 23. 3 weeks long! Then I'll be leaving on the 26th for Taiwan and arriving there on the 28th, then staying there for roughly 1 week before I go back to Thailand.
Hahahha I know that almost anything can go into my portfolio, but I keep thinking that I NEED to put my best works in because I will be showing them to the top schools! (This is hard for me because I hardly ever find any of my works nice ._. Though I'm lucky because I can work pretty fast if I want to and produce high quality stuff, hoho.)
YES YES, FASHION SHOW. I am organizing it with a friend of mine at school and we already have formal permission from the head of activities thingo to go ahead with it. We plan to make it REALLY professional looking and have other lower year students join us in the designing (and teach them along the way, since we want high quality results & of course, it will look good if we put it on our uni apps. HOHOHO!) Yesss, of course I will be taking pictures of our designing process and the show. I will show them to you! (Damn, I'm talking as if I'm so sure it's gonna go smoothly. ._.)

You know both Sharon's parents went to Upenn so she has a high chance of being accepted. Lucky. But yeah my classes end on 5th so we'll be going to Taiwan around the 8th or 10th so pleeeeaaase stay a bit longer :<
And dude i totally know what you mean. I never approve of my own work. It's just never good enough for me. So I think taking classes will help me improve WHICH I REALLY HOPE IT DOES.

Haha, even I don't know if I can get into Parsons, but I have a fairly close friend who got accepted to William & Mary and she told me that she regretted not applying for Harvard because she thought she wouldn't get in, and that she would never know for sure because she never tried. Yeah, I wish I had some really nifty connections too... or enough money. My mom told me that as long as I get into a good university (like Parsons) she will be willing to spend the moola, but I know that I would not allow myself to go and use up all of my parents' money like that--I have to get a scholarship (which is... crazy). Yap, you did tell me about Sharon, her parents, and Upenn. Did she apply already or will she be applying later on this year?
I just told my dad that you guys will prolly be leaving on the 8th or 10th, and he would like to know a more exact date before making a decision with my mom about what to do. There is a chance that I might stay behind in Taiwan while the rest of my family goes back to Thailand--will it be possible for me to stay with you guys? If it's not then fine because I can still stay with my aunt (that's where I'll be staying when I go back with my family anyway).
Seems to me that both of us are perfectionists in our own way? Sometimes I am proud of it--sometimes I'm not. In my 2nd class at FIT we were required to create our own brochures. Everyone used Microsoft Publisher and the 'ready-for-usage' layouts, but I *had to* use Photoshop. ._. I am not fully satisfied with my finished brochure, anyway.
Classes really do help you improve! I know that in art is actually learnt through practice, but I feel that classes speed up the progress because you have an instructor/professor who can give you valuable suggestions and teach you new techniques, plus classmates that can motivate you to try harder and learn from. But of course, that will only happen if you are lucky and have a good instructor or class. : |
My friend and I did start planning out the fashion show before the holiday started, and we felt pretty confident about what we should do. I hope it'll really be alright. :S I don't know about the style--we didn't even choose a theme yet. I know that I want to create an extremely flamboyant show with extravagant designs instead of a whole bunch of ready-to-wear clothes otherwise I would have just chosen to set up a mini-stall or something, and I told my friend this, but we are concerned about whether the kids ('other' designers we will be taking in) will be able to handle drawing the dresses out 'cause it takes serious skills. There's really quite a lot of factors to consider...
