Hey, when you prepare to do a comic story, do you do character sheets first? And do you ever write the whole story first or do you write down the general idea then start drawing? And as you do all your drawings, are you doing it all just out of your head?

Well, mainly when I create a story I sketch out the main characters, as you always do with a story given to you by another writer. Then, if the story's mine, I always do a concept of the main points of the story, the most important happenings. I always write the intro of the story, searching for a way to be original. Then I search an interesting ending, thinking about what I want to say with that story; then I write the whole plot, and after that I draw the storyboards.
And yes, I draw always with imagination, I don't search often for references, except if the story needs some kind of cars, or even architectures that I can't draw by memory.
It's just visualization, once you know how to visualize you're free to draw everything!

I see. Thanks. And wow. Very very good visualization you have. I've been trying to draw the stuff in my mind as close to the image I see in my mind as possible. Still tricky for me. I say I get about 75% accurate.
