nabasa ko na ito eh, kasama siya ni bangan, sa bontoc myth ito kabilang. ayos yun...minsan kac sa dami ng concept na iniisip ko hindi ko na rin naaala-ala yung sa amin mismo (kahit kc visayan at moro/mindanao epic nagkakainteres na ako at magaganda rin ang sa kanila. dun sa "gandang filipina"...may ilang lilinawin tayo...sige at talagang umiiyak na itong laptop na hiram ko...salamat din sa pagdalaw.

yes. i've watched gameplays in you tube but they're all japanese versions. they've elimin8ed non-chinese weapons such as those of zhou tai's (katana) and xiahou dun's (scimitar). most of the swords now are patterned from the chinese dao (a single-blade curved broadsword), many wields the halberd. the others have giant clubs and for the ladies bows and whips. i haven't checked yet but i think the qiao sisters retained their twin fans. in my opinion liu bei got the coolest change, twin blades & nice fast combos. i'm a big fan since DW 3.

liu bei is not really my fave, i just like the improvements. from the ps2 DWs my favorites are zhou tai for his signature samurai moves (i love the way he returns his sword after a musuo attack) and mounted attacks, lu bu of course, wei yan for his tribal man character & wild moves, diao chan for her mobility even when she's attacking (great for 1-on-1 battle with a defending officer, she's easy to position behind), sun shiang, and xu huang. the most horrible move set for me is that of taishi ci wielding 2 rods...arnis, escrima, & kali (MA's that usually uses 2 sticks) is from my country & the intricate movements of these are observable here...even his musuo ain't as beautiful as the basics of these filipino MA's, it's a good thing they changed his weapon in DW 6 into a halberd & that is very chinese!

... Yeah, it makes more sense now that they have more traditional chinese weapons. I really liked Zhou Tai's katana, but it wasn't a chinese sword, and that type of katana was apearently made after the three kingdoms period, or at least after his death, I can't completely remember.

you can check DW6 in wikipedia coz i read many changes & new features there. i focus more on identifying our historical ethnic weapons but i haven't tried any filipino martial art yet though i was a former freestyle grappler & have competed. a friend of mine started studying & gives me ideas about FMA.

[link] this is from you tube titled KALI 1 and continous til KALI 5 i think (kali is a general term for the various filipino martial arts), this video is actually from discovery channel titled fight quest and this is their series for filipino martial. you can also check these other videos in you tube [link] [link] [link] [link] and [link] such series shows like human weapon, mind and body kickass moves, and fight quest may also answer your questions about other martial arts. kali martial arts starts with training with weapons first before empty hands. check also our stand-up mixed martial art yaw yan (dance of death) [link] & [link] yaw yan strikes with fist, forearm, elbow, shin, knee, & foot, this fighting art rivals kyokoshin karate, wushu, & muay thai in the ring & when i watch yawyan open tournaments fighters from these discipline are the usual challengers for these guys are also tough. i haven't seen tae kwon do practitioners step-up the ring against yawyan fighters.
