As a colleague of bre and Nuva, I would like to apologize for the feedback I left on your journal about the finale. Though I can't speak on their behalf, drama is the absolute last thing I want.

I had to reply cause you stated suspecting me. The truth is Iβve stayed in touch with Him and resisted anyone trying to convey me into dropping him purely on the basis of being "negative".
Before I used to be irritated of him, even showing others [including you] just to call out on him, but overtime I started to see and understand why he feels that way and started to see the big picture.
I know how he feels when heβs making the journals, but that does not not invalidate his criticism on the show cause he isnβt wrong.
It still upsets me that people would go as far as to oppress him purely on the basis of being βnegativeβ not considering that it's cause the quality of the show has gotten worse to the point that in comes off as insulting, and heβs not alone.
I wanted to try and explain to you and Iβd like to show you some journals on characters (Letβs Talk About), but Iβm afraid that you wouldn't understand and that you would just continue to scold me or something, hence why Iβve mostly been silent to you.
Forgive me, I hope I didnβt frustrate you or anything.Β
PS: Some movies (like βA Silent Voice β the first movie I watched in the theater in around 10 years) and shows (like βLand of the Lustrous β) I watched, I got him to see it and he had a pleasant experience with them. He has journals on them. I'm even getting him to watch 'Your Name '.

I don't hate MLP entirely, rather I'm torn by the current staff's incompetence, tunnel-vision, and myopia in writing that is Haber, Dubac, Vogel, and Jim (post-Larson and McCarthy).

I asked him, he showed me your exact comment towards him and here's what he had to say to me (please don't reply with spite).Β
"Look if you really hate what the show has become, why do you even bother sticking around for it? A user called TheUnluckyTug was the same, he hated what Thomas had become but he left the fandom to not see anymore future projects. I suggest you do the same, it's for your own good."I took that to mean that he just wanted me to get lost and stop ragging on something he likes (I.e. "Leave the fandom if you don't like the show"). I would also classify this as 'advice' more than 'helpful criticism' [considering he critiques neither the journal he commented on nor even my style or approach] The most 'helpful' and 'critical' he's ever been [at least to me] has been the equivalent of 'don't knock it till' you've tried it', despite 'every reason I give for being skeptical'.
Maybe he didn't mean anything malicious, spiteful, or antagonistic by it; maybe he really thought he was being helpful. But the way he worded it left me with a different impression
He felt like he was being suppressed when it comes to comments calling on him, when in comes to comments, they usually don't convey human emotions, only the words convey them.
Try to understand, it's his choice/passion that he wants to continue to look at the show, its characters, and its story writing objectively cause he's more observant when it comes to the failings of the show, it's something that he doesn't want it to go unaddressed. I mean the show isn't perfect but the show runners (especially the current ones that excludes writers like Larson or McCarthy) aren't trying to fix their mistakes.
He wants to continue to see it in the hopes that all the implications in the show is brought to light.
To conclude, I hope that anyone reading his criticisms towards the writing of the show looks at it objectively or at the very least takes it with a grain of salt like Seiya and Duomo just to name a few, rather than be scornful or descentful towards him like HiroMan (again, please don't reply with spite).

Well, it's cause he's been feed up with so many poor writing decisions from the show runners, he just wants the show to do good in terms of story writing/consistently.
For me, I understand how he feels towards current status of the show, and I don't intend to change his thoughts as I'm close to him online.
Pleas don't take it the wrong way.Β
PS: As of late, I'm being selective on what info I could show him so as to keep his expectations in check, though I'll still stay close to him.
