Ebay is my best friend.
If you are familiar with Ebay, I can hook you up with the guy I got it from! Really cheap and he ships from California! So it would be even cheaper for you, being American.

Well...yeah!
There's no english subs though...so when you watch the tour documentary (except for the small amount of english spoken while they're in the US), you don't really know what's going on. Ok, well I didn't really know what was going on.

I just bought Super Junior's newest album.

I find that, even though you may not know what they're saying - you still get the general idea of what's going on...well - most of the time.
You're welcome! Super cheap, eh? And it'll be delivered fast for you since you live in the US! Since I've ordered lots of L'arc and Hyde things from animecast, I feel confident that you shouldn't have in troubles in receiving your stuff without issues!
Omigosh. Is it my turn to spam videos on you now?! LOL!
I actually found out about Super Junior when one of the comedians I'm subscribed to on youtube (mychonny) did a parody video of their song "Sorry, Sorry". I've been in love with them ever since! I like their newest stuff the best though...the older stuff is waaaaay too poppy and super happy for me! But that's just me... They're really amazing dancers too, that's sorta what also got me hooked. I love to dance (not that I'm good or anything ) and their music makes me want to dance! And it helps that they have choreography for most of their songs! Anyways, ENJOY!

lol that was interesting! If I was like, seven-nine I probably would enjoy it more cuz that's when I was into boy bands like N'Sync and Backstreet Boys who did this stuff but now that I'm older it just amuses me they still do stuff like this! They remind of TVXQ, who I actually had on my iPod until recently XDD Thank you for sharing!! People wonder how to make money quick- grab 12 of your friends, take some dance classes, and move along to some techno pop and VOILA! INSTANT SUCCESS!

Hey joo! XD My friend is putting together a project where she's making like scrapbooks with letters/art from other VAMPS fans to give to VAMPS the day of their concert in LA, and she needs a lot of support, so wanna write a letter to VAMPS telling them how much you love em? XDD I mean, make it decent dont be all like "OMGYOUGUYSROCKMYSOCKSANDYOURSEXY" lol, make them feel appreciated for what they do and for coming to the US and all. She needs all the letters and stuff by June 1st, so get to it! And tell your other friends to do it too. You can send your letters to me, and I'll send them to my friend! Umm...I'm neck-deep in my clinical right now so I can't promise anything but I'll definately see if I can put something together that's more intelligent than "OMGYOUGUYSROCKMYSOCKSANDYOURSEXY"! lol! No, she's ALLL the way in Cali unfortunatley. (I'm in New Jersey, which is on the opposite coast. XDD) I wish I could meet her cuz she's fantastic! She'll be sure to post up and let us all know how meeting them went. She really admires HYDE because he indirectly helped her choose a career path and she feels she owes him a lot, he's like her hero. So it'll be really mind-blowing and meaningful to her to meet him. Funny thing is, she's tall, while Hyde's only like 5'1 (LIKE ME! XDD) so she'll be looking down at him!
DOMO ARIGATOU!! XDD

Aww, that's really too bad! I think that's one thing I hate about the internet - you meet amazing people from around the world but you can't really meet them in person! Especially when it comes to fans of things like Japanese rock! It's just not common around here so I don't really know anyone who likes it! (Besides my friend who got me addicted in the first place!!! )
That's awesome for your friend, though! I really hope she gets the opportunity to meet him! I'm sure Hyde is used to people being taller than him! I'm barely 5'5" so I'd be pretty much looking eye to eye to him too!!
どういたしまして!!!

RikuAlbelTidus23 In reply to brimari [2009-05-15 20:37:13 +0000 UTC]
Yeah exactly!! XDDD
Well see, in Japan, most people are only around like 5'2 or shorter, (I'm taller than my Japanese teacher at Hyde's height of 5'1 XDD) so it isn't as much as a big deal as it would be here in America, where people are generally taller. Like, you would probably be "tall" in Japan lol!! XDD

I wonder why the majority of the Japanese population is so short...
Do they not drink enough milk or something?
I won't deny it saddens me a bit that I would be tall! Haha. I would really prefer not to be! But you're right.
How long have you been taking Japanese and how is it going? Is it really difficult?

RikuAlbelTidus23 In reply to brimari [2009-05-16 13:55:56 +0000 UTC]
LOL that's like asking why Northern European people are pale with blue eyes and blonde hair. That's just a feature of the race lol.
After this school year is over, a year! And I'm taking it next year too. No, it's actually WAAAY easier than people would make it out to be!! My teacher is AMAZING and like the best teacher in the ultimate universe, and she breaks it down so that ANYONE can understand it. I'd say 90% of the class passes with A's. I've maintained an A+ myself lol. Her actually being Japanese and being born and raised there helps a lot too, because she knows the general way Japanese people speak, so she doesn't stress too much on having it all proper and stuff like other language teachers do. Basically Japanese is a lot of memorization, as they have 3 three alphabets, two of which consists of 46 letters and the last is the hardest which is kanjii (those really complicated house looking symbols XDD) which we don't even learn until next year. You have to understand it and absorb it from the beginning, because if you don't get the basics you'll be lost forever lol. I'd say the hardest part of Japanese is sentence structure, because depending on what you're saying depends on what structure you need to use. It's not like in English there's a general sentence structure you can use for everything. That's actually why a lot of the Japanese II students I know do really bad on their tests because they forget what structure to use. But like with any other class, if you pay attention and do your homework it's rather simple. In some aspects, Japanese is easier than Englih lol!!

LOL! Very true! It's just so funny how each region seems to have certain characteristics that differ from other regions. It was so cute, I had a lawyer from the UK call me yesterday morning in regards to my step-grandma's sister's estate (crazy random but anyways...my step-grandma and her family are from England). I couldn't get over his accent and totally messed up his e-mail address for my dad because I was like...lost in his voice! I'm such a dork.
I have a friend who took Japanese in highschool and now she's taking it in University and it sounds difficult! At least, she's having a hard time with it. She's maintaining good grades but yeah...it's hard! I think it's because she's learning the Kanji right now and she's finding it difficult to memorize them but she said that Japanese is much easier to learn than English because English has so many rules! I'm forcing her to teach me common phrases and such. What exactly is considered the "basics" in Japanese?

RikuAlbelTidus23 In reply to brimari [2009-05-16 22:05:12 +0000 UTC]
LOL yeah Britsh accents = FTW
Well at the University level obviously it's tougher XDD But I wouldn't call it impossible or anything XDD YES what she said is exactly right; there aren't many rules with speaking Japanese. It's SO SIMPLE. XDDD Like, you don't even have to use subjects sometimes. For example, to ask someone their name in Japanese is "Onemaewa?" which literally means "Name?" XDD Instead saying "What is your name?" Also, when you ask "Genki?" or "Genki desuka?" you're really honestly saying "Fine?" instead of "Are you fine?" And then when you reply, you can say "Hai, genki des" (Yes, fine) or "Iie, genki arimasen" (No, not fine). Same applies for "Daijoubu?" (Alright?) My teacher told me the reason that you don't need subjects all the time in Japanese is because there is only ONE way to speak it, Japanese doesn't have any other dialect so there was no need to specify any particular thing. Our language is much more wordier and complicated lol when it comes to that, although in other cases, like saying more specific things it's longer to say them in Japanese. Example: "I ate bread for breakfast." "Watashi wa asagohan ni pan o tabemashita." When you actually say it, it's quite a mouthful lol. I actually think that's the reason why most Japanese songs are 5-6 minutes long; it's not that they have more to say, it just takes longer to say it. It's kinda evident, especially with HYDE's stuff; his songs in English are much shorter than his Japanese ones.
Basics in Japanese I would say are:
1. Gotta memorize your Hiragana (1st Japanese alphabet we learned, used only for originally Japanese words) and Katakana (used for words from other languages, like English or Spanish and also used for names). Both alphabets have the same sounds, but the symbols are different.
2. Getting into the swing of speaking it, you CANNOT learn Japanese by just reading and writing, you gotta say it and get your accent going. I find it personally easier for me to read Japanese outloud while trying to translate it.
3. Basic greetings: "Konnichiwa!" (Hello!) "Genkideska?" (How are you, or really, fine? XDD) "Onemaewa?" "Watashi wa ____ des." (I am....) "Arigatou!" (Thank you!) "Doo itashi mashite." (You're welcome!) "Douzo yoroshiku!" (Nice to meet you) "Ohayou!" (Good morning! Konnichiwa also means good afternoon) "Konban wa!" (Good evening!) "Sayounara!" (Goodbye!) etc.
4. Remembering it is polite to bow while meeting or leaving someone and adding "gozaimas" at the end of a greeting to show respect. (Like to a teacher or someone older XDD) If you've watched a lot of L'arc stuff, Hyde often bows at some point to either the crowd, or to the people he's working with to show his thanks and to be polite. It's in some Japanese movies too.
5. Basic sentence structure: Subject is ALWAYS at the beginning, verb is always at the end. The middle is random depending on what you need to say.
Then from there you start learning numbers and various vocabulary and things.

LOL! That would make total sense as to why their songs are so much longer in Japanese than it is in English!
Wow, so now I can say I learned something today! Haha. That was an awesome quick explanation of some things to learn in Japanese first! When I logged into my dA and saw that huge message, I was wondering what you were going on about!
But seriously, thanks for breaking it down for me! I definately see what you mean, though, about practicing saying it more than reading and writing it. I actually have the "My Japanese Coach" on my Nintendo DS and the person says the word and then you can record your voice to practice the word! lol! It's funny! But I wouldn't exactly recommend the game if you want to learn the language...obviously it wouldn't be people's first choice! Haha! I bought it more out of something to do to learn useful phrases and the proper pronunciation of them.
Sounds like you know your stuff, though!

LOL yeah it's something that can't really be explained in two sentences XD Glad all my typing didn't go to waste!! Doo itashi mashite! X3 lol, really? Never heard of it. I don't know if you have an iPod, but they have podcasts that teach you whatever language you want. I downloaded the ones for Japanese so over the summer I can learn some more and remember what I already learned, since i want to learn it fluently one day. Mainly because of HYDE lol but I do love the culture and it's a very beautiful, interesting language. Thank you, I would hope I do, I'm the top student of my class! XDD

Oh, I do have an iPod! What is the podcast called? Or I suppose I could easily find it myself if I just took the time...
I'll definately check that out because even though I have a ton of songs and music videos on that thing, I still have like, 4 GB left! I don't think it would ever be worth it for me to get the 30 or 60 GB iPod. I just don't have that much music! And I use it all the time so I usually remove songs I get bored of and add new stuff all the time (Except for like, the 500 JRock songs that have been on there for months now! )
That's really awesome that you're doing so well! You'll have it in no time. Are you planning on continuing to take it in college - if you're going to college! I won't make the assumption! You have your whole life to go back to school once you graduate highschool! But you're right, it seems like you need a college education these days to do anything, which is crap!!!

Uhh....just search around, like under languages and you'll find Japanese I forgot EXACTLY how to get it lol but it isn't hard.
Yeah iPod = FTW. I have it stuffed with anything involving HYDE, (have nearly all of L'Arc's stuff and all of HYDE's stuff and VAMPS of course), Gackt, and other various artists I like but don't really listen to lol and Hyde/L'Arc/VAMPS' PVs, and two concerts even. AND STILL HAS SPACE. XDD
Thank you! No actually, because obviously I'd have to pay for it and since I want to be a doctor/surgeon I'll be taking Pre-Med and ALLL my attention (and money XD) will have to go to that. What I plan to do is using the podcasts and books and things is to teach myself it like during breaks and things. My friend learned an awful lot teaching herself so I figure I can do it too.

Ok, I think I found the "Learn Japanese" Podcast! At least one of them. I'll have to check it out when I get a second.
I've actually been listening ot Gackt alot lately because I think all I listened to was Hyde's Roentgen over and over and over again in my car, ever since I got the CD...so I'm taking a break! This is probably a stupid question but have you seen Moon Child and Kagen no Tsuki/Last Quarter??? I think I already know the answer...
Doctor/Surgeon, eh? Holy mack! Good luck with that, you must be a smart cookie! You're right, that will take all your time and money! I have a friend going to McGill in Montreal right now and he's going to become a neurosurgeon (he's basically a genious) but the kid is ALWAYS busy! You get to play with dead bodies too for biology! Crazy. I'm actually just finishing my third year of my registered nursing course! My dad thinks it's a stepping stone towards becoming a doctor...
