I know I read way to deep into things like that.
You see, you like writing, I'm passionate for story telling. Literally, I just love the concept of hearing about and falling in love with characters as they live their lives.
You probably write a character, and the entire time, treat the character like a character.
Me, I'm the freak, who, when writing a character, I might as well be talking to an actual person. I have a nasty habit of treating characters like they actually exist.
I'm also 19 years old, and have never had a girlfriend, hell I've never even been out on a date. I'm also kind of mildly autistic with a social disorder.
I've gotten better, but for 12 years of my life, I've preferred to spend time alone, If I had friends I only saw them in school. Thus, any of my free time, has been spent watching TV or Movies, or Reading.
Which is why, I'm a terrible shipper, I ship because I am incredibly lonely, following pairings like Ichiruki is basically how I cope with being unable to get a girlfriend. (I can't get a girl friend, because I live in no where USA, and any girl around my age has no business staying in town when she graduates, I don't really have any options and no place to look, you know what I mean?)
But I also hate bad writing. and when people insist on Ichihime (they've gotten better.) as the true pairing, when there really is no reason for them to be together. I get pissed because they argue on lack of reason.
And yes I know that Ichigo doesn't end up with anyone at the end of the anime. and that's fine with me, because it also doesn't mean that he does either. The anime pointed heavily towards Ichiruki, I treat anime and manga as two separate things, thus, the Anime ends with Ichiruki. Case closed.
Having no life is also why I just randomly spilled my guts to some guy I don't even know and told him stuff he probably doesn't even care about.

Actually, I enjoyed reading this a lot. It's always fun to get into the minds of other fans and see how/what/why they think what they do.
And I'll say this much: when it comes to any of my fandoms, I always consider 2 things. Canon. And Headcanon.
For example: Ichiruki would be headcanon, because there's no one better for each than the other.

Personally, I like Xion. If you unlock the Secret Diaries, you find out that Xion knew she would lose when she confronted Roxas.
