Ahhh, yeah, I get that. Personally, I've been kind of in the same place as you. Busy with college, online games, and starting to look for internships.  Adulthood is so funnnnn /sarcasm XD I really kind of miss having SM on Neopets to go to and hang out with everyone. It's been a little sad to see us drift apart like this after it disbanded >_<

Haha I know right we are SUCH functioning adults!(To the point it's only freaking now, right when I'm supposed to be focusing on my dissertation/101 other final year assignments that I finally decided to try writing fanfiction and seriously cannot stop X~X more fun writing Fallout than the short story for the dissertation *le sigh*) Your studies going well though? & yeah I know what you mean I've pretty much lost contact with everyone from SM :C except Rabbit of course but yeah. It is a shame :L Do you still go on neo? I just kind of pop on to feed the pets/do quests when I can be bothered finally got the UC desert poogle but idk without a guild it seems pointless but I can't be bothered to try and be social on there anymore like I used to! Ah you don't get an Easter break then? D: That sucks! I know the overwhelming feeling though, I've been getting it a lot myself lately. I've had to write and produce a radio play as part of my course, and I have to do the technical side of it this week. It's a bit of a strain as I'm supposed to be writing my dissertation at the same time, too! 

Yeah I've pretty much gone into hermit status on there myself. Literally just go on to play meerca chase, look at my pets for 5 minutes then go and find something else to do. I did try other guilds after SM but it just wasn't really the same. The people were amazing and everything, but it just wasn't like it was in SM & I didn't feel very motivated to constantly jump in on the conversations. I think neo's kind of dying on its feet now anyway though, only UC's hold any real thing for people to strive for, but it's a nightmare for people to achieve them and it's the same people in the trading rings! 

It is true it just worked as a hub where we could all pop our heads in and just see how everyone was doing, though the boards were drying up before the end, it has to be said. I don't think any of us really used the group other than to show off art. It works grand as a showcase, but yeah not so much on the social side (plus there's also the fact I don't think many of us are really all that active on dA! I keep forgetting about this place then suddenly remember it exists haha XD).

My studies have been going okay; I'm just a little overwhelmed by them at the moment. ^_^; I need summer break again, like, now. XD

I haven't really been on Neo myself in a long time. SM was my home and the main reason I still got on to the site, but when it was gone, I lost that connection. Granted, if SM ever became a thing again, I would get straight on Neo and join in a heartbeat! Haha

I just feel like everybody went their own ways afterwards, and the dA group we made never really was an adequate replacement. I still talk to Tina on occasion and join in when I see her streaming, but everybody else just kind of disappeared over time. It really is kind of a shame. I think it's less a matter of growing up though, and more a matter of how friendships work through some sort of goal or hobby (anchor?) in most cases. When that anchor is gone, everybody kind of drifts out to sea. =\

Not yet, but I do have a lot of friends who have played it and they're really into it, so that's encouraging for me! XD I don't have a fanfiction account either. ....I should get one one of these days.

I do have a week for Spring break at least, but it's like my professors over the last couple of years forgot it was a thing and assigned me a lot of work to do. This year, I had exams in the week before, homework during, and projects due, like, the day after it ended. It was pretty bad Q_Q I have even more to do now, but it's only a month or so until this semester is over and summer break starts, so I can hold on to that hope!

Really? That's kind of a shame. Neo had some really great tools for people to use like the petpages and the customizable guild homepages that you could just do whatever with design-wise. I haven't found anything quite like it on other popular sites. It really got my creative energies going more so than dA, oddly enough, and was a lot of fun. >_< Thinking on it, I wouldn't mind being part of a guild again, but I'd probably be wary since 2 out of the 3 guilds I joined quieted down on the message boards within one month of me being there. SM was the only one that stuck around for long, and I loved you guys <3 I believe more than anything that the boards were just going through a dry spell like they tended to do during certain months, so I was really disappointed when the guild shut down because of it. I think we could have recovered like we always did.

I've been trying to think of how we could possibly make Doodlepage a good substitute over time, but a comments section doesn't work quite the same as a private message board. Also, it's not pretty like SM was >=
As far as activity though, I know Tina does things on here all the time, as does her friend Elizabeth. I lurk almost daily and answer messages/comment on things when I have the time to. And you came back, so yay!
That leaves Kitty, Rabbit, and Kirstie for the co-founders of the group. I miss them, especially Kitty's crazy antics >_<

Ah I feel you! I literally spent Thursday-Monday doing a radioplay (that was a real pain handed it in with 5 minutes to the deadline T^T) and now have to spend this whole week till Monday again working on my dissertation ;T-T then when summer comes so does the awful job hunting! 

I agree I loved developing characters and stories around my pets, plus writing for the guild events was fun! But it's a pain with all the filters and yeah. I know if you joined Aozora on there that place was never quiet XD (Though I did leave a couple of years ago it still seems to be going strong & the people are friendly- I actually found Kuro and do you remember Becca from way back? She came back online and joined it XD Quite a few SM members joined afterward actually XD It was so odd just being "OMG no way you're here too?!") But yeah SM was just special! I don't know if it would have bounced back because of neo's slow decline though recruitment was already a bit difficult as anime wasn't quite as popular as it used to be and GC was pretty dead at the time :c

Haha yeah the lack of a nice layout does cause an issue it has to be said- it's just not as convenient, either! Sorry I poofed again got caught up in the workloads and fanfiction XD I know Rabbit still posts art on here from time to time but is busy with teacher duties, but I haven't heard from Kirstie in ages she hasn't been online  Kitty I haven't heard from since she left neo! It'd be nice to chat to them again!

That site does look pretty XD shame about the closed phase but other than neo I seem so bad at keeping active on those sites! XD Butn dragon breeding sounds adorable!!! I'm trying to get on it/stay on it, but yeah it is sort of a hiatus thing really! I just login. check for non-existent messages then go and do something else XD Going to try and inspire some stories using them though at some point hopefully they could be good for actual stories at some point though I find it hard seeing them as people rather thn anthro neopets haha!

Neo was the only pet site I've ever stuck with until FR, and I wasn't even gonna sign up but in the end they extended the registration and I was like 'well I /do/ like dragons'... I don't know when the next registration window is, but I could let you know when it's announced, if you want?

I hope the weather keeps up (even if it's just a touch cooler please), but there is a perpetual raincloud over that area as I have learnt from my stay in Lancaster so I'm not too hopeful.

Sims 2 seems so much harder now that I'm used to all th prettiness and smoothness of actions XD The loading screens are bleh and the way you have to extract the mods! sheesh! That being said though it still has so much charm! No harm in having a free game though amiright?

I'm trying to learn both though I'm pretty poor at it! We've had days like that before- not for a long time though! It's hard to believe that London's facing horrific storms (as I say that the sky outside darkens... XD) but yeah! OMG YES. the pillow starts to feel warm on both sides when I have to flip it over- is it too much to ask to have a cool pillow? D; 

They are the best clouds in the universe!!!

OMG YES. The people at Aozora for example are lovely- but they're so active in their timezones. XD There were so many inside jokes and funny things happening while I was asleep that I couldn't help feel like a stranger despite having been a member for a couple yeas before the end! It's so true- we Brits have to make twice the neo effort at times, honestly! XD

MASSIVE ONE. I'd really recommend playing the games and reading the books for a feel of it, though like TES I think you'd be able to pick up on things, though it's one of those were the stories are all so intricate and intertwined it'd help massively if you read and played through the games and books! There's just so much going on in Thedas it's awesome XD & really, really fun!

YES OMG and then you realise and soon as you press quit and /then/ you have to load it straight back up to see just how much playtime you lost and the 10mins it takes to load you're just like 'please let them be married still oh god' and then the little screen comes up and you see your sim standing alone in their household pic and you just quietly shut the computer down and cry yourself to sleep ;w; (I am not way too into sims shush you)

My parent's PC broke the other day and we managed to fix it by taping the the wire into the HD drive and my dad turns around and says 'bet you can't do /that/ with a Mac!'

Yup! We've moved to the idea of publishing it online now as a webcomic as opposed to actually publishing. Publishing route is difficult enough with normal books, there are no manga presses in the UK as far as I know anyway- I think the closest one in EU is Germany or something? But yeah, internet's more accessible too and will /hopefully. be a bit easier to keep up with and update. CX 

Haha the magic of coding!!! Give yourself credit though yours looks so stylish- mine's pretty plain atm but I just don't feel like using either of the lookups Rabbit made so yeah. Digging minimalism for now! XD Tbh though, neo has done everything in it's power to make coding difficult for us XD

Haha it's so true!!! You just feel that cold pit in your stmach and were you yourself a sim, you;'d have that disappointed moodlet they get if internet trolling was ignored XD awwww that is a poor Sim :c "I dreamed I had friends... now there's no one even on my phone list...." 

Genius! XD Sometimes it is the simplest fix! I admit I've never had a Mac to know the difference all I know is that they love them in the US or something? 

There are! If you play the first game, then read the first and second books, it all comes together! Then the third book is best read after you've played the second game, and the next book after that one! GGet them they are so worth it! Compared to one, two wasn't /as/ good in some ways, for example it was very limited on where you could go, like the pathways were so narrow- BUT the character relationships and stories=amazing! (which was also the biggest love of the first game the dialogue and stories are soooo good!) but to understand what's happening in Inqusition and also the book Asunder, you have to play that one ^^ It's still good to play!

The Elder Scrolls as in Oblivion, Skyrim, Morrowind etc ^^ really REALLY recommend playing those if you haven't before! ^_^b so much fun...

That's literally all my sims ever. Their only friend is their spouse, keeping sims friends is wayyy too difficult. And once they've had kids they never talk again LOL

I love my macbook, it's just so much nicer to use than Windows. But I only use it for work, I didn't have the money to buy one high-end enough for all my games and stuff /cry

Oh well it's good to hear you still enjoyed it! I'll put them both on my ever-expanding list of games to play, but at least DA:I doesn't come out until like November so I should have time C:
And I will check out the books too when I do! Are they all available online?

Yeah you can just look over a plan lookup and learn everything in a second- scrollboxes make me sad and I really dislike lookups where you have to click buttons and search for what it is you're looking for about them!(sounding like such a stalker here but usually it was for the convenience of guild links etc XD) 

Oh wow that is /awful/! They should be refunded those six weeks! One of my friends on her course did ot have a stable timetable for most of the year, they had to check their emails daily to see when they had to go and have assignments sort of pre-prepared as she's doing media & journalism. It was pretty bad and no one's happy with the end product- but hey, we're not being graded on it anymore at least so yeah! XD There are quite a few eccentrics on the staff haha! I suppose it also depends on which faculty you're in! 

& only fellow midlanders understand that the midlands is a real place!  

Haha yes! Especially if we borrow a pomeranian (however you spell that) puppy and just put it on top of the pillow. What could be better? XD It's endorsed by puppies!

Luckily I've got a windows 8 so I can and do play on it- more often than I should really... really hope it doesn't have a meltdown this year XD

As much as I like looking at pretty designed and coded lookups from an design/programmer POV, sometimes you can literally get lost in layouts, especially some guild webbie layouts. It's like trying to navigate the jungle jeez

I think most departments have their oddballs. I know we've got one particular eccentric Scottish lecturer and I never sit at the front with him because he likes to talk to you and make jokes and he's nice enough and all but I just /DO NOT/ want him to talk to me so I like to sit behind someone tall hahahah

Oh boy, remember when there used to be pop ups allowed? I actually wanted to throttle some people. There was also a guild that was /so/ exclusive, they password barred their webbie till TNT themselves stepped in like "um.... no. Take that off." Even then they put up a page saying "THIS SITE IS ONLY INTENDED FOR OUR GUILD MEMBERS. WE WOULD PREFER IT IF NON-MEMBERS TURN AWAY NOW."

Lol a course of rebels is it? XD I remember one time my friend was stressing badly because around 5PM she received a message that they were supposed to have previously unnannounced coursework in by the day after tomorrow :/ that was madness!

We've got a really awesome chilled out guy called Bob who starts conversations and tries to get people actively participating XD Our Creative Writing ones are also very eccentric (to the point one of my coursemates did  very convincing rendition of one of them composing poetry the way she had while being as high as the caterpillar in alic in wonderland XD) 

Have you had an evil lecturer yet? XD We do and his name is Ross. If a little rather unassuming scottish man in a flatcap and glasses walks into your lecture- run. He seems like a harmless little old man and then he turns EVIL. X-X 

Lol you can haz puppies then XD I couldn't give them back to wherever we'd gotten them from XD but too many pets atm alas so no more for me for several years I think XD 

LOL XD I hate snow! I've had my cup of tea of it and then some! LMAO yes you take your sim to the park and there are people in the most garish outfits like no WHY. Normal people don't wear this stuff on a daily basis. First thing after moving in a boyfriend/girlfriend = NEW OUTFIT AND HAIRSTYLE
I actually remember one time in Sims 2 Uni where you had those Llama mascots and I figured I'd get my girl sim a boyfriend so they could move in quickly together after uni and have kids and such, but all of the sims in her dorm were ugly as hell and I didn't want any of them to be her husband. But then the Llama mascot comes in and I hover over him and I'm like 'yeah he has a nice name maybe I'll take a gamble here' so I get the two of them dating and the first time they woohoo this dude finally takes off his Llama helmet for the first time and I discover that he was a she all along and I'm just... 'I'm an idiot'. Good job adoption is an option. xD

Oh nooo I hope they don't charge monthly! I don't want to spend £40 on the game and then pay monthly as well ughh. Maybe if they are they're just paying monthly for the CC in the store? /hopes

I quite like driving around in Watch Dogs so I get what you mean haha xD

Yeah that's basically the CompSci seminars. The teachers just talk at us and they try to make us ask questions but no one will. There was a seminar with that aforementioned evil-ish old dude teacher and out of a class of 20, one person turned up and it was the funniest thing ever. The guy that turned up was so annoyed lmao.

Hahaha no I know. My nan just bought and iPad and she's gotten used to it now but the first three weeks or so it was: "KIRSTIE COME ROUND I HAVE LOGGED OUT OF FACEBOOK" and it was just like aww bless. x)

Well we used to have a cat called Fluffy who moved out to the house opposite our garden and now she visits loads, basically just to eat our food. Then there's a cat called Charlie who belongs to someone down the road who keeps loitering around the house, and there's also our neighbour's cat Cassie who keeps coming in to sleep and bully our one cat and so we are like cat central right now and I'm loving it. =w=b

LMAO XD Were you all 'lectured' next seminar? XD With my evil one there was one day where only 4 (sadly myself included ;~ turned up. At the start he'd been really superior not letting people swap into his because it was going to be 'crowded' and work's not a good enough excuse etc etc. He was lucky by the end if a quarter turned up, most people in that group just didn't show up 90% of the time! Then he strolled into another lecture and was lecturing us all on why we should turn up. I drew some very pretty pictures in his lectures/seminars because he was just so boring D;

She's discovered now that she really loves that Charmed series about the witch sisters, but you can only get it on the TV through using the new Xbox One my brother bought so every night it's "I want to see Charmed someone put it on naoooo!" I am soooo jealous- sad that Fluffy sort of moved away it's almost like your cats gone to uni or something moved in there but comes back like "I'm poor. FEED ME PARENTS!!!" XD We've got a huge number of cats in our area, but they don't want to be friendly- mostly they get into fights with my two cats and having had to constantly break them up means the cats who I was friendly with are now like "You've sided with the wrong kitty too many times! Our friendship is OVER." Though my own cats now see me as guardian or something so I'm getting followed by them around the garden but yeah I wish we had relationships like that with the neighbouring cts though maybe the two dogs scare them off too much too...

D; Tbf Primark in Birmingham is a warzone. I thought bhs was bad when I worked there but Primark how d the staff do it? Hundreds of customers throwing stock around and ruining displays while running each other over with prams holding triplets- it's just ridiculous! It's a little better in other cities, but Birmingham's in particular is incredible. Have you heard they've bought the Pallisades and intend to make it their biggest store in Birmingham? (meaning they'll probably close down the other one)

Apparently there was a competition in the sims community to make the ugliest sim ever through genetics XD Wish I could've seen some of the entries for that haha! It is so true D: sometimes they arrive as a child and you go 'awwww' then they grow up and it's just 'whoah....' also why does the hair rarely ever go right when they age up?! Sims 2 they kept the hair- sims 3 "nope, he now has no hair! yay!"

Nope! XD Luckily that was a module where we had different lecturers teach the seminars each week, so none of us ever saw him again so he couldn't yell at us. And the one lecturer who managed that module didn't like him either so he didn't send us an angry email or anything haha.

Mums and technology seem to be a very bad combination. xD I suppose at least with yours continually asking you and your brother to do it for her she's not messing up anything! I wouldn't let my mum near any of my technology, her iPad has like a bazillion games open in the background ("Why does the battery drain so quickly Kirstie??") and the downstairs computer is just a mess ("Kirstie where's my word document?" "Well what did you save it as?" "I don't know." "Okay, where did you save it?" "On the computer?")

Aww no, your poor kitties. ;( My one cat used to get into a load of fights, he's built up quite the vet bill, although now he's old and mainly just want to sit under trees and eat steak. Yep they have a long, colourful history- a few of the characters aren't all that they seem (not posting how here as we#re planning to hopefully have a group on dA a some point and I don't know how to hide messages haha!) but yep, a lot of misunderstandings made them have a /severe/ love-hate relationship XD So first year they do not get along till the very end of it, yet in their not getting along they still /sort/ of get along in a bizarre way XD 

YES and all of their sotes look bizarrely similiar in either colour schemes or terms of how they've done their layouts XD URL typing in the ultimate in last resorts! 

Awwww poor 8 year old Kirstie D: Yoyo's were amazing add lights and flashing and zomg whole new toy for some reason! I had a red and orange one I was so proud of. Couldn't ever get it to come back up, but that didn't matter! XD <==that is how bad I was! XD 

Ah scoobies XD I always jumped on the bandwagon too late by the time I got some the fad was over XD They were so pretty though as keyrings! 8D Loom bands just seem silly, though it is admittedly adorable seeing kids on buses proudly carrying a small plastic crate of them XD 

yep they wanted to know our life stories when they came in for a 3 second shop & you look back and think "If I'd held onto that item I would be MINTED on neo!!!"  D; 

Like window on petpages XD How is that a terrible word?! It just destroys your block of text when you have it in, and bad as. Nope, you MUST mean bad ass so we can't let you say eeeeeettttt~ 

Yeah I hate those sorts of PCers, and the attention mongers. There was one the other night like "quitting adopting out pets," UC grey wocky as her active and bam. Five minutes 8 pages of people wanting a free UC handout and idek if she did leave in the end. There was also the bizarre case where some girl adopted out a draik- then slammed the new owner for using a "cheap" bg for it. Like. Wat. Some people are ridiculous, but that being said, I've got some nice PC acquaintances who stop by to talk and say hello sometimes even play KQ XD I think it's mostly down to how ou treat people that way you attract the nicer ones, ruder people usually stay for one post then they're off. But yeah those people can be offputting. Also that thing where people are super friendly/nice to UC owners, but then really curt or full out ignoring someone who just has basics or a christmas ixi It's like "That person could be the doctor who saves your life. Why are you looking down on them? }:C" 

Haha you got lucky there then! ^^ He was ridiculous. Sexist, arrogant, self righteous and a bully to boot. He's just the bigggest idiot I've met so far in a teaching profession ;=.=

Haha oh no- my mom's awful. Yu minimise a window- "MY WORK WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY WORK- oh it's back. DON'T LOOK DOWN ON ME LIKE I'M STUPID FOR NOT KNOWING!!!" and you just cannot win XD By the end of it whoever's helping is as freakedout as she is! XD Aww bless! XD 

It is, and when you can play games of being chased around the garden by them haha! Love cats- they occasionally touch noses which we thought was cute. Nope it just means "I'll tolerate you... for menow...." (bad pun but hey couldn't resist would've translated better in speech but hey!) 

Maybe I walk wrong too maybe there's just a weird model walk we don't yet understand? XD Haha it's so true though! You just see the mountains of clothes thrown on the floor, all the piles of clothes that the staff have /obviously/ spent half the night fixing are all jumbled, youre lucky if the pyjamas in the packet are still matching, or if you've got top and bottoms in it- just whoah. XD I don't know how they stand working there at all! 

CHAV INVASION IS COMING TO YOU!!! D8 Just so long as it doesn't make getting into Waterstones difficult because I'm pushing a Shaniqua and her screaming children out of my way XD 

It is, or the crowd of three women blocking the jewellery aisle or something XD tbh though, no other store is as bad as primark DX 

Haha yes XD & then it's like "SIM. YOU ARE NO LONGER THE FAVOURED CHILD. D;" Or you have to open create a sim and fix them XD 
Yeah it's like "why does the computer do this? can I not PLAN hairstyles of the time? ;" & how al the generated sims to run bars have stupid hats or are always grossly obese for some reason- just annoying!!!!

YES THAT. Cannot we not click something that says "this is dyed not real hair colour they cannot inherit this." XD 

Fix this EA please. 

I also have a glitch where the eyeshadow for some reason autmatically becomes zombie as soon as you close creat a sim. My sims are alive whhyyyyy D;
