Graduated with a B.A. in Traditional Animation from Columbia College Chicago, then high tailed it out of the mid-west to beautiful Burbank, CA to intern at Nickelodeon Animation. I currently design and sketch for Disney while indulging in freelance illustration on the side!I illustrate a comic called Nerds with Beards as well as construct brain vomit onto a page and call it a comic at Life Scientist .
I love to tell stories and draw red headed ladykins!

The internship went really well! It was an amazing experience. My last week was last week (HA)! Now I'm just canvassing the town with my resume and interviewing at places trying to land my foot in a doorway. We'll see how that goes! How are things with you and your family?!

We got custody of the kids in early April and in just the last 3 months of school we got all three of them almost completely caught up!

Oh, I wish I could help! Unfortunately, I'm barely making it financially right now. I know that well wishing isn't going to pay the tuition but I do hope that Alex gets to go. Good luck!
I did learn a lot working at Nick- meeting with professional artists and non-artists, getting some insight on the "biz" as well as trying to figure out where I might be able to fit into the mold. I mainly worked with the Production team, shipping assets, fixing storyboard templates, and things that would make the whole process go smoother for the whole crew.

Well we went ahead and paid for her school and hoped that we could make ends meet after the fact. It's been a challenge to make sure everyone had food this past month. We were down to ramen and potatoes for a while, but we scraped it together. 
The Nick internship does sound cool.
Things are doing okay for us here. More commissions would have been nice, but we're managing. And my webcomic in particular has been doing rather well!

If it has a black border, that means your resolution is messed up..... sorry, but it does. It is a PNG image so it displays a black border around the image when it is compressed and made smaller.

Yea, sorry about that. I like to give that warning when I upload a PNG because some people think I made that black border on purpose and that does not show a good artist.

Its usually at 630 on thursdays. It used to be at Mercury Cafe, but that closed down in October, so we're trying out new places til we find one we like. I asked the group founder, Jamie, to invite you on facebook. Its called Creative Sessions.
I'm doing great. Nope, not at the bank anymore. I Got a job as a graphic artist for a screenprinting company in Forest Park. Btw, did I tell you I moved out to Forest Park? Remember Elizabeth who worked with us at borders? She's my roommate.
