you can! it's just my computer and internet aren't fast enough to keep it stable :c
tbh it's a lot better to do it for free using your own computer and internet bc of the ram usage (you have a lot of space to use)
many people pay for their servers (especially big popular servers) for that very reason

it's risky tbh
you have to open a port on your router which basically means drop all security
which is how people connect to your server
so you risk getting your internet taken over by hackers or other dangerous things
which is also why people choose to pay for a host
but you can still download the console and run your server and install plugins and stuff
only people that are at your home will be able to play on it though, because they connect through the local ip
