Where did the idea of drawing women with painted skulls on their faces?

They're inspired by sugar skulls and Halloween. Not long after I started searching for information about sugar skulls, I discovered there are artists who are famous almost exclusively for doing this. Sylvia Ji is one of the most notable ones that come to mind. But really, I just thought sugar skulls were rad. And I've always really liked face paint. It's an interesting thought to me that even as children, we indulge in face painting and mask-wearing as ways to obscure and change our identities. I'm not claiming to have some deep philosophical meaning behind my work. I like to leave that to the audience. But it's something I really enjoy.

No problem. People don't often ask me questions, so I try to answer as comprehensibly as possible.

Well, I have email accounts, a tumblr account, a twitter account (sort of) and several other things that are all cheeseborger. And I got sick of explaining what CSW meant... or rather what it didn't mean.
