one... im thinking of getting a tattoo but i want my own design... but i cant seem to focus on my design... one more thing i cannot draw that well... whats the best solution...

two... all my black and white pictures come out so gray... would you happen to know a setting to adjust this..

NO problem, I'll try my best to help you

1) Tattoos need time, I am an exception my first tattoo needed 10 minutes to design and the second (still healing) took me 35 Minutes to design. Now back to the best strategy: First of all try a list of things that suit you like hobbies, dreams, beliefs and so on. When you finally know what you want, look on the internet for a couple of pictures and print them the size you want them. Put a new piece of pater underneath the drint and draw along the out lines of the objekt you want with a pen. On the new paper you'll see the lines of the motive, now trace them with a pencil. This is thee basis you start designing your own tattoo. The outlines are eough for a tattoo normally, the shading is something the tattoo artist will finish then

2) Black and white is sometimes tricky. I usually only use the Microsoft Photomanager and adjust the contrasts and the halfshades until it looks okay

are there any other options besides digitally enhancing the photographs... like is there a certain setting in the camera...

Mhhh... I cannot say if there is a special setting in the camera. I learnt as a child how to do black&white with a analog camera and I always used Pentax SLRs so I cannot speak for other cameras. I normally take my pictures in full colour and later on transform it into black and white, it gives more options.

Oh gosh, I would give you all the tips in the world.. but I don't know any!
If you think it would make a great photo, then snap it, no matter what
Find the type of photography that really intrigues you, for my it's nature/the sky and people.
Go out whenever you have the chance, I haven't gone out recently, but I do have a bunch saved up that I haven't had time to upload.
Find some special locations, be adventurous
Last, but not least, don't think about what others will think about the picture... if you like it, then upload it
