Ah, my favorite part was relaxing in Sentinel Beach. As a kid I'd roam around those colorful environments and wonder about their mysteries. Until Mario Odyssey, it was my favorite collectathon.

Speaking of Mario Odyssey, I finally got myself Breath of the Wild for the Wii U.
Which I need 3 fucking gigabytes to play. Goddamn it all to fucking hell.

I saw that I can use the classic controller for it (which I have one GC controller shaped), which stoked me. Does Odyssey give you different controller options as well?

You can play Odyssey with other controllers, but the motion controls on the joycons are tied to some advanced movement techniques. You can beat the game fine regardless, but you literally can't pull those moves off without the specific joycon setup. 

WAHOOOO just don't overhype yourself on BOTW and I can assure you it will be enjoyable.

Gotta clear space off my Wii U first, so I ordered some cheap used copies of the games taking space on my system. Kinda wanna finish the Minish Cap first anyways, so it's all cool.

I actually took a bit of a break when I realize August 5th was coming up.... I was looking through my older stuff and realized that the first drawing I ever posted of Jake and Rachel was posted on August 5th. And you know, I figure that a drawing to hype up like, the 3rd anniversary of these characters would be appropriate, even if I'm the only person in the world who celebrates.

I mean, I've done that before, mostly abandoned self-inserts and the like. My current handle is kind of an artifact from when I actively still played Zombies Ate My Neighbors, so there you go.

But I'm keeping Jake and Rachel around as long as I can. I mean, imagine Rick and Morty but with Steven Universe's optimism and idealism. I guess I feel that too much fiction aimed at a "not kids" demographic feel like they gotta be edgy, but I don't want my own work to be.

I respect that and can get behind it. I think a real sign of maturity is when you stop wanting to appear mature. In terms of real life, I want to keep sanding off my immature traits while remaining a kid at heart.

That's fair. I just want to entertain the masses. I mean, I just look at my favorite adult shows and realize basically all of them are pretty cynical. I just want to add a somewhat adult show but with a happier twist.

I'm at the point where birthdays kind of scare me because I can just wind up being YEET'd out of the mortal coil at anytime and fear is bad for me. XD

I'm a relative newbie to horror games. I can only play RE2 in 20 minute bursts cause my heart pounds so much from getting freaked out by everything all the time. 

Guess that means it's a good game? I do think I love it when I think back on the experience, just not during it

I haven't played it, but it looks like it's been getting damn good reception.

That's me on a lot of horror games too. I tend to only play short periods because I'm such a chicken shit.

I surprisingly did pretty well with Fatal Frame though.

I think it'll be a Majora's Mask equivalent; a darker, asset-reusing direct sequel. Might be the last we see of BOTW Link specifically, but I'm betting future Zeldas will stick with the open world design for a while.

Okay!

Best exploration in a video game. Some of the best AI in many instances. Some of the best music I've ever heard. Immersive as shit. Has one of the best dungeons in the series. Exceptionally well-directed cutscenes, one of which I almost cried in. Beautiful art style. Almost everything I wanted from a Zelda game. Favorite Zelda. Favorite current gen game. Favorite Nintendo title besides Xenoblade Chronicles. I wouldn't rate it a 10, but I'd rate my personal enjoyment a 10, and the sequel might actually be 10/10 material.

I probably hold it and Mario Odyssey on the same level you and countless others do for Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time.

To be quiiite fair, I hold those two games on a high level out of pure nostalgia.

I'm sure both Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild are much better games. Especially Breath of the Wild. It just sounds so much better from what I've heard.

I got the original series and the UBW movie on Blu Ray, for a pretty good price. So I don't understand why the UBW series has this problem.

But yeah, it's all on Hulu anyways. So I'll have to catch it there.

I stream if that's my only option. I streamed JoJo before it officially came out on DVD and I plan on still streaming One Piece when I get back to that series.

I can definitely stream Fate/Stay. I'd just like to own a physical copy if I can find one.
