Omg, I wouldn't have thought that someone would even notice this account and a great artist at that haha, thank you very much, this a very great encouragement.
I really love your works, I've been trying to do a painterly style, but nah it always come out muddy and colors are always scattered, no good at picking colors.

Actually I was thinking of quitting since I've always been fluctuating. Thank you.

Its okay if you give urself a break sometimes or be frustrated at times, but keep on practicing and learning different stuffs when you feel going back again.
I do also have those fluctuating times sometime on my art journey and it really hit me till I got frustrated(I'm sure even some skillful artist that are pretty underrated even those popular ones have those times as well),hence,I even make some hiatus times and skip a lot of practices but drawing is always creeping on me till i got interested and motivated to learn and improve more.So what ur feeling is not isolated by u alone, they're surely some artists out there as well
One of the motivations to go back again is to see some of my favorite artists's artworks and kinda inspired from them(even from some good artists as well)~
A tip for u,if u want as you mentioned trying to do a painterly style, try to study the artist u are inspired from or study the style if u want to(what colors she use for shadows, lightning, how saturated or pale or pastel the color choices he/she use,its all up to u to have a keen study).It will be also a huge plus if they have tutorials of their own that u can learn from!
But ofcourse, u wanted to put ur own personalized touch with it, it always comes down for those as people will gonna atleast recognized thats you~
Try to find that through some of ur sessions!~
Just trust urself or ur judgement but be critical at the same time.It will take time to make a consistent decision,it may be slow, but thats okay.Each artists have different time frames, and it might be discouraging as well that some of the artists that have the same time frame or age or atleast younger than you has more better work than you do,instead serve them as ur inspirations as well.Im sure they're pouring their all to their works, but keep studying and learn on the way.Comparing urself to others is just toxicating and it may hinder your work,instead i'll gonna use them as my driving force to improve.

I take a look to some of the arts from the previous accounts that you have but I see total improvement from them!You should be atleast proud of that!A little improvement or long CAN make a difference, as long as you keep a drive to motivate urself and just practice.*Also,love the style u currently have!~
Give ur work or urself a lil "good job" pat in the back sometime,I'm sure ur giving ur all to these drawings~
Practice means feeling doing it, not that you're forced or obligated to do so.
So practice when u feel doing it cause sometimes it tends to make you forget what youve learn coz you didn't let it sinks in to you.But Have fun with them at the same time!Sketching or what they've called "thumbnailing" is where the part they make themselves loose and just throw different random ideas.
Ofcourse,every practice comes down on executing.If ur good to do so,then ur good to go,its okay if its ugly in the first trys,just keep on doing it again or revisit it.

About the colors, I recommend u to try to learn color theories and such.(I highly recommend some videos from Marco Bucci in youtube for some basic learning for paintings and colors as well!They are super useful and hilariously presented as well~xD)
There's countless of tutorials out there in any site even here in DA, we're lucky to have those to this day.

Its quite saddening to see some artists quitting because of some certain reasons but Its quite understandable, but all I just wanted to say is keep moving, keep improving and keep doing what you really love to do.
Get frustrated but keep on getting back on ur feet again.
Consider lil criticisms and improve them but don't be discouraged about it,take it as a grain of salt as it is~
Give your work some love and trust your artistic instinct~
Because overall, what you gain and what you've dying to work of benefits you and it will be a payoff in the end!I'm sure by the time comes, you will shine on ur own work.Just believe lang!~
