I told you, I don't know if it's because I'm just a Contributor or if there's something really wrong.

Well, I've already told this: when my club turned into a group, I solved this problem on Manage Members > Members; the first thing is "On Home, Members: Can Only View". Right below it is "Join Requests", I just changed it to "Are Automatically Approved".

How about this: go to the group's Admin area, select Contributors and put that "On Admin area, Contributors:" > "Have full control", and then I'll make the same settings I have put for my group.
