I've been trying to help out my family, among other things. After more years than I care to admit, I plan to return to college and get a degree in industrial technology. If all goes well, I should be starting this fall. I still hope to one day return to university and get my engineering degree, but I'm hoping with the industrial tech. degree, I'll be able to make more than I have been & save up enough to go back. I've heard it's tough, but I believe I'll make it.Β Β Β Β Β Β Β

Oh don't worry! You didn't offend me. X'D Sorry if I seemed a bit harsh. No, it's just that I don't like giving out a lot of personal information to the public. There's a saying "Once you post something online, it can NEVER be deleted." In a scary way, that's true. Even if/when web pages are removed, there are still copies of them in search engines such as Google. Even if you can't find it there, there's always the possibility that someone (or multiple people) have taken a screenshot of it. That's why I try to be quite careful about what I post publicly (even as I am writing this, I check it several times to be sure I am fine with the world knowing what I'm writing). It may sound paranoid, but stalkers, predators, identity thieves, etc. are very real. I'd rather not invite trouble, if I can help it. Besides that, I'd feel bad for all the people who might want to talk to me, but I'm just not in the right mindset to talk to them. I know it may be rude, but I must admit I feel this way, and I suspect -and know, that I am not the only one. I may eventually get a regular social Facebook account, although I will probably not use my real name if I get one.
I don't mind keeping in touch though.
I'm actually thinking about starting up an Etsy shop and also having a FB page to go with it. I was thinking I would do more advertising for it & post a journal about it once I get things up and running (or at least, a little more organized than right now

No no it's ok^^ I definitely understand your opinion about all of this my dear. Our world is surrounded by lots of insanity and craziness too. Those people are just everywhere and yes we should watch our actions in order to be safe!Β
Today, the technology basically allows you to break into people's private lives and that's pretty scary
