Hahaha, so, we still roleplay, and, I, uh, how do I say this?

I kind of adopted Kody?
I took poor Kody under my wing and kind of nurtured him as a character (since Gaiya wouldn't, pfft).
He's still a sad, skinny, pretty-boy smoker/pianist. I guess I just wanted to keep him involved in the roleplay, after all these years. I've always had a soft spot for him. Are... are you okay with that? o:

We could never forget you, Neo! Gosh, all those kindergarden roleplays with Gaiya and Kody and Ning and the chaos, back in the golden age of Neopets... fuck, I still play Neopets (sad admission), and it is a freaking MESS these days, let me tell you.

Kody is well! Certainly not a ball of sunshine, but then he wouldn't be Kody, now would he? He and Gaiya aren't on super great terms (they're ridiculously awkward around each other and avoid each other), but he took a shining to Gaiya's son Constantine, who not-so-coincidentally also plays piano. He and Mephisto actually went on a little adventure together recently, took down a huge beastie, actually bonded a little (gasp)! Though they certainly aren't exactly 'buddy-buddy' either...
As a human, he's totally got the musician vibe: he's tall and skinny, kind of a dirty blond with beard stubble, smokes frequently, and of course, has a handsome face with stunning baby-blues (well, more like sea-greens, but people don't really describe eyes that way, do they...) I'll have to draw him again, it's been a few months since I tried putting him on paper!

i have a friend who's still on neopets. i tried to go back, but it was too painful...i just wanted to play the games!!! that was all!!! but neopets has gone to shit!!!
GODDD ning...never forget. i need to revamp her someday, as my first real oc she deserves some kind of. revival. sort of i guess. god, i dont know.

You should totally revamp Ning! I might've consider sucking Ning back in me and MC's universe, if Gaiya didn't already have like a million other pissed-off enemies. Haters gonna hate though, amirite?   
The canon explanation for his and Gaiya's breaking up was that it didn't really happen, that they fought because Gaiya wanted to go fight for Guardian (MC's organization of good military power), Kody was against it because he didn't want her in danger, so she just left without a proper goodbye; but, on her adventures with Guardian, she met Mephisto, got involved with him, and when Kody managed to hunt her down months later, she'd already fallen for Mephisto. Sigh, what a little ho. Things get crazy from there: so much stuff has happened since then, but overall he HAS managed to move on from Gaiya and become a greater character than just a failed love interest. He has political influence thanks to his rich and powerful family, he has fame from his piano-playing prowess and the whole coming-back-from-the-dead intrigue, and he's managed to keep an interesting relationship with Gaiya and her family. He's definitely  become dear to me.

well, we could switch it up. ning could NOT hate her. maybe they didnt get along at first but now they do!? i dont know. itd be cool! i mean, i don't wanna force a bunch of stuff but. i could always brainstorm something new for ning. shed probably be some kind of assassin, or a spy...and i still think her weird bubbles were cool. i'll fight myself. it was a cool idea!

I don't remember Ning's bubbles! I'd have to look back at my first few sketchpads, but I feel like I always drew her with a sword.
Gaiya ditched the graffiti paint but kept her light powers; Kody doesn't have any supernatural powers... yet... muahahaHAHAHA*coughHACK*

what!!! maybe i took them away cuz i thought they were stupid....they were cool! she had a belt with different kinds of bubble soaps on it, like a utility belt type deal...and the bubbles had different effects? i based them off pokemon status effects at the time, but they're still pretty reasonable- bubbles that poison on contact, knock the person out, etc. etc.... it was cool!! i thought it was cool!!!
kody...he doesnt deserve cool magical powers. give him something lame, like he can grow a hand if it gets cut off.

He has an electricity rune that he's been carrying with him for some time now, given to him by Mephisto... but he hasn't absorbed it yet. Haven't decided whether he should or not...

And yeah, those bubbles sound sweet, certainly more original than Gaiya's light powers. If you do reincarnate Ning, you should try and do something with that!

hmmm...itd be neat if he did! electricity seems like a good fit for him. hed probably shock himself a lot though and curse up a storm.

I've tried to make him a more sympathetic character...? Alright, I'll fill you in a bit more of what's happened.
After his teenage suicide (and after his return from said suicide), his father kind of cast out Kody as the prodigal son and heir to their huge company and gave the reins to Kole instead (probably not a great idea; my characterization of Kole has been kind of a laid-back, fun-loving pothead, hahaha). But Kody pulled himself up by his bootstraps and used his infamous return from the dead to propel his fame as a musician, and now he's probably the most famous pianist in the island's history (Kody "Lazarus" LaVou), and he's free from his shitty, overbearing father's presence, hopefully. On that sidenote, I can't remember why I picked the last name LaVou... I think I couldn't remember what you made their last name, so I just made that one up when I made him as a Sim in Sims 2, and it just kind of stuck.

He honestly hasn't bothered Gaiya and Mephisto much; I think he's been very respectful of their bond as of late, though certainly resentful of the pull Gaiya seems to have on his life. And I don't think Mephisto trusts him completely around Gaiya.
Some more roleplay story: Kody came back into the plot when G&M were visiting Kody's home city of Belleville for a vacation and happened to come across Kody and had an awkward dinner together out of politeness. However, some mercenaries trying to capture G&M noticed this and instead took Kody and his fiancé–a spritely redheaded artist named Mia–hostage as leverage. So G&M had to rescue Kody and Mia and they all fled together and endured many PTSD-triggering episodes of violence together in the process. That all culminated with said mercenaries tracking them down and violently crashing a party in which Constantine and Kody were playing a piano duet together; Gaiya is given a gun by the mercs and forced to either shoot the monarch of said city-state, her close friend Nikolai, or else witness Constantine's death. Kody instead saved her from having to make a Sophie's choice by stealing a gun from the merc guarding him and shooting Constantine's captor, effectively saving Constantine. Then, in typical Kody style, he takes a bullet and dies the hero. Gaiya of course feels obligated to rescue Kody from Hell after he saved her son, but in a strange twist of events, Mephisto is the one who rescues him and the two of them go on a little adventure together – not by Gaiya's choice, mind you.

Yeah I dunno. Sorry for the info-dump? More has happened since then, but I ramble. But I have really enjoyed writing him, and figuring him out. I feel he will play many more important roles in the future...

no, its totally fine!!! i totalyl forgot he was french but i remember it now. thats my boy. I CANT BELIEVE YOU REMEMBERED KOLE!!!!!! so good. they had a sister too, right? what was her name. i dont even remember. it started with a k. (obviously.) but thats kody! haha, i'm glad hes grown up a lot, im glad he isnt being the nasty nuisance i played him as (that was a little embarrassing. jeesh.) and that he's got a fun life. kole would be a pothead! kole was always a foil to kody, kody being brooding and angsty and mean and kole being chipper and trying to make up for his brother's absolute assholery. youve really got me wanting to redesign ning, i think i'll go ahead and do that...i just have to work on what i want her to be like, now. of course, she has to have the braid. that was her thing! braid, bubbles, purple. im not sure if i should make her east asian or not. thatd be kind of a cop out, if shes supposed to be ~ninja-y~ and stuff. no stereotypes! break the stereotypes! maybe ill make her south asian...
ahhhh...but man. that's my boy!!! im really happy to hear all of this. it sounds dumb, but to think this character i put so much stock in that i completely ditched still was kept around and built upon, even when i wasnt concerned about him...it makes me really happy! im glad hes still kicking it. good man, kody. at least hes not a 'nice guy' anymore, constantly complaining about being friendzoned or whatever. (i was ahead of my time.) lets see if i can make a good ning...

Yes, Allie! It actually didn't start with a K (unless I'm completely off-the-charts wrong) but I thought it was Allie and have been calling her that. I never roleplayed with her with you and never got a sense of her character, so I, uh... *gulp* I kinda decided she died as a teenager? She did play an important role, though: I decided she died from starting a romantic relationship with my character Odd, who is the son of the Lord of Plague, Panukla. So she got real sick, like REALLY sick, and died slowly, poor Allie. Her death is one of the big reasons Kody and Kole's dad (whom I named Reginald) is such a cold-hearted dick (he lost his only daughter, and come on now, she was the smart one), and also why Odd is very shut-off and is basically asexual: he never really got over her death, and is terrified of infecting others. But yes, she isn't an active character now.
Yeah, I haven't gotten to use Kole nearly as much as ol' Kody, but that's pretty much how I've portrayed him. He's a total jokester, always pissing off gloomy Kody and bitter Reginald with his quips and cheerfulness. He's probably turned his branch of the family company into a super fun place to work, with like fuckin' slides instead of stairs to get from floor-to-floor and soda in the fountains and shit. God, Reginald probably hates him, lol, but has to put up with him because Kody isn't his little slave anymore.
BREAK ALL THE STEREOTYPES! I don't know if you know, but my human Gaiya is pretty different looking than she was as a Sonic character: she's a redhead (I decided natural hair over the good ol' green, though it was a difficult decision), and she's actually Middle-Eastern. I don't know what pseudo-ethnicity I had concocted for her before (something Japanese, most likely) but in turning her human I scrapped it and decided to make her an Afghani. She did keep her orange eyes though: those are a mark of her congenital light powers, plus they're freaking cool. She's definitely still Mary-Sueish in many ways, but I've worked hard to make her unique and flawed and interesting.
Gosh, let me know what ideas you have for Ning! I'll have to think about some way I could thread her back into the roleplay canon...

mmmm i gotta think about ning though... idk if you knew, but im pakistani myself? so i could at least put that in, but im. not exactly knowledgeable about my culture LMFAO my familys all diplomats but i was a shut in growing up. i refused to speak to anyone.
hmmmmmm...hmmmm. i just got sims 3, i may play around in that for her! honestly she could be someone gaiya used to know and just showed up one day like "hey, im gonna save your ass" and gaiyas like "wtf i thought you hated me?" and nings like "what? oh, haha. yeah, i was a weird kid. no hard feelings?" "i think you tried to kill me." "yikes. sorry, buddy."
im definitely considering working in other stuff to her character, but. dang. (yeah, over this week or two ive been unresponsive i havent made any progress. fuck. and i wanted to write something today, so i probably wont get to sims...but she'll get made! eventually! i'll figure it out.)

And of course, no worries about the late replies. Life is life. School starts back up for me next week (RIP, me) so trust me, I understand.
I'm basically WonderBread personified ethnically (whitey mcwhiteington), which is why almost all my characters are biracial/multi-ethnic. Come to think of it, I can't think of any of my characters that have just one ethnic identity, even Kody--his daddy's French (from Belleville) and his mummy's German (from Shardspire). Gaiya's Afghani/Indian, Odd is Sri Lankan/African, my character Guerra is Columbian/American... oh wait, both Pepper's parents are Haitian, so there's one. But she has some Louisiana Creole in her too.
But still... I really don't prescribe to the saying 'write what you know', I guess because I like fantasy and use writing as escapism. That, and we always idolize what we don't have: I'm white and as ethnically American as George Washington's bleached asshole, so I've always thought other cultures were so much more beautiful and interesting. Since I have blue eyes (well, grey), I've always thought brown eyes are prettier. Grass is greener. I'm rambling, regardless: make Ning whatever you think is right for her!
YAY SIMS 3! I went on a Sims 3 binge a few years ago when I first got it: I think I went like 24+ hours straight playing it once, lol. MC went to work, came home, went to bed, got up and went to work, all while I was playing Sims without getting up. Eeeeeeeek. But anyways, enjoy! I've been playing Sims 4 (which is wonderful), I should get you some screenshots of Gaiya and Kody!

Oh, you won't find anything in my gallery, that's all as old as the hills. One of these days I'll start uploading again, but until then, art and writing like yours continues to inspire me.
Anyways, the character is a sadistic, downright-abusive lover to my female protagonist, who is often willing to to endure his abuse because she loves him too much - that, and she's kind of over trusting and gullible. And now I'm scared this sounds too 50 Shades of Grey... bleeeehhh. It's more complicated than that but ain't nobody got time for that.

And yeah! I always return every llama I get with a llama.
