There are several books dealing with that, including a good one that just came out this year, The Art of Language Invention by David J. Peterson. There is also Mark Rosenfelder's Language Construction Kit, some parts of which are posted on his website:

I don't think there are any actual tutorials. Maybe someone should make one? When Tepatic glyphs are in a better developed state, I wouldn't mind making one for logographic systems, since that isn't as much discussed, but that's kind of far off for now.

Thanks for the help! Would also be great if you do go through making your tutorial in helping others. Have you taken a look into historical sources such as Old Chinese as your inspiration? I noticed the resemblance during my Chinese classes.

Really? I hope you enjoy your Chinese classes. Chinese was an influence on Yuktepat actually, but indirectly. I've never learned to speak Chinese, but I learned Japanese and took classes in Japanese calligraphy - kanji being the same as hanzi. I've become familiar with written Chinese that way. In creating Tepat's glyphs I used the same principles used in Chinese character construction.

That said, maybe I should move away from the Chinese influence now, because none of the cultures in my conworld are supposed to be direct analogues of Earth cultures.

I wouldn't worry too much. Your conglangs appear distant and foreign enough to be unique to your worlds and we usually take influence from other source materials anyway. Still keep up the good work on your worldbuilding and thanks on the book recommendation, I finally got myself a copy to read over the break.
