do you ever add new characters to your roster just because, or do you only add someone because someone specifically commissions them?

I add characters most often because I want to draw them, and occasionally because I get a large number of suggestions for them. Commissions override either reason, though, so when I get a lot of commissions at once and not a large overall amount of time to draw (as in the last several months), then commissions will seem to dominate.

Do you ever do heads/bodies of old animes, like Hale+Guu? Lots of colorful characters with unique looks in it: Hale, Guu, Weda, Clive, Chourou (or the Elder, in some translations)with his enormous mass of chest hair....

The oldest anime I know offhand that I've drawn is from 1984, but I guess most of what I've drawn is from the 90s and 00s. I'm aware of Hare+Guu but haven't seen/read it -- it's late 90s, isn't it? I can add it to the suggestions database and put it on "my list" of things to investigate further.

You're right--the manga started in '97, and the anime in '01 (I only saw the anime, but all the way thru)....It was fun and random, and surprisingly full of feels....

I go to cons in the Western U.S. -- California to Colorado, Idaho to Arizona -- but I do want to go nationwide eventually. For now, you can pick some up at the Etsy store or get them through dA and Paypal .

Man you've increased your list so much since Fanime. I was thinking of getting the Harry Potter sets for my friends for Christmas (and some more for myself). Why can't you sell these on Etsy?

I was worried about copyright issues, but I've seen enough other fan art on Etsy that I'm gonna do it eventually. I've just been too busy with school to set everything up yet.
I know it's getting to be close to Christmas, but if you have a Paypal account you can still get some if you want -- send a note with which magnets you're interested in and I can send them priority with USPS.

In Salt Lake itself there's a large one and a brand new little one, but other than Boise the nearest large ones are 12+ hours drive away. There are teeny ones here and there, like a one day only con in St. George, but they're not long/big enough to justify the road trip. T_T
