Thanks for the fave. I like your portraits. Do you use oil on board with gesso ? I'm starting to draw portraits with graphite and colored pencil.

Thanks! I use a large variety of surfaces for my oil paintings, but mostly hardboard coated with gesso or matte acrylic medium.

Are your paintings only on Deviantart ? Do you sell on Etsy ? I'm trying to figure out how to market my drawings. I've used oils in the past, but it's been ages ago.

Your colored pencil drawings are fabulous! I do sell on Etsy, but mostly smaller, inexpensive works and prints, dailypaintworks.com is also worth checking out. I have also sold through galleries locally and nationally and do a lot of sales and commissions just through social media and word of mouth. I find oils to be the easiest medium once you get the hang of them, or I'm just so used to them that everything else feels weird! Good luck, marketing the work is the hardest part and there is no one thing or site that works for everyone... I'm still figuring out what works for me! The one key thing for all successful artists is to keep making the work, so keep it up!

Thank you ! I've started networking with other artists by getting together once a week and drawing life models. The guy who hosts the life drawing owns a gallery and I'm hoping to tap into other galleries. good luck on your work !!
