Scorching is celebrating the midterm results, despite the fact there was no blue wave and the results were horrible for the democrats.
So far, Democrats gained 26 seats in the House, while republicans gained 4-5 seats in the senate. With the senate under Republican control, the republicans hold a MASSIVE advantage, considering the senate is much more important than the house (such as that Trump cannot be successfully impeached).
In comparison, Clinton and the Dems lost 54 seats in the house and 8 senate seats in 1994. Obama and the Dems lost 63 seats in the house and 6 seats in the senate. Trump’s result is MUCH BETTER in comparison to Democrat presidents before him.

here are the facts: Republicans gained 4-5 seats in the senate, the most important house. Trump cannot be successfully impeached while the GOP holds a senate majority, you see.
As for the house, the Dems only gained 26 seats. Comparing to the 54 seats lost with Clinton and 63 seats lost with Obama, GOP house losses this election pale in comparison to what the previous Dems had in their mid term elections.
to say that there was a blue wave, and that the Democrats scored a major victory, is indeed delusional, because that just didn’t happen.

It’s grasping at straws, TBH. In comparison to how much republicans gained during the first midterms when Clinton and Obama were in charge, the gain from the democrats is rather minor.
Im not saying a red wave took place either. Winning 63 house seats and 6 senate seats in 2010, THAT is a red wave. Here, the water basically just retreated to the shore, leaving a low tide.
i will also mention that the Dems did gain several governorships in several states, which is also pretty important, but not as much as the House or Senate.
