No way, I tried to play 1.6 or whatever just a little while ago because a friend was. It sucks, it's so choppy and I can't stand it. It's still awesome, and I did pretty good, but it's been replaced.
Anyone who says source "is so bad" is an elitist arsehole, you just sound like you're playing 1.6 to seem "h4rdc0r3" or something. Even worse is if you play something less than 1.5.
