Hey there! So glad you are enjoying the fic My best advice is pretty cliche but honestly, read and write a lot! The best thing about fanfic is that you have such loyal fans who hold you accountable to write and write constantly, and that's the way you get better. If you click on any one of my pages, you get a summary, but they are pretty vague, so I'll type another one here:

Eleven years have passed since the unRaveling, which was basically a period of utter chaos and killing. The reasons for the unRaveling? Many, but it is mainly due to the fact that when life becomes too good and people live in complete comfort, unrest grows out of petty matters and the forever turning cycle throws all the world into darkness. This gets explained much more in depth in the manga. In simple words, all good things come to an end, all extremes will shift to the other end.

Shortly after the unRaveling, a group of strange travelers pass by the land and share their new found discovery with any survivors: to destroy is to create, to remind those living in good times there will always be worse. To constantly destroy on a mild scale will prevent the sudden shift to any of the extremes.

The people accept this philosophy and thus begins the era of battling clans. Two enemy clans are deliberately formed. Training camps are established, where young children are taken in from villages. Every single moment of the day, mines are planted on borders, ambushes break out in the woods, spies hide in the trees. It is war, and yes, there is killing, but the elders of the clans never forget of the greater slaughter during the unRaveling and see these deaths just a part of the greater good.

Hitomi is the main character (19). She has been in the training camps since she was ten and has moved up through the ranks to become an elite soldier, leader of Unit 13, and a treasured spy. At first, she wholeheartedly believes that the war is necessary to avoid falling into the cycle that brought on the Unraveling. When a journalist by the name of Eizoku comes visiting from a peaceful area, she is scornful of his ignorance and ideals of harmony.

Er...this is really long...so I'll just say that this happens and that happens, blah blah blah. If you really want to here the rest, tell me, but I don't want to bore you ^.^ The background is kinda complicated and important, but that's it pretty much simplified, so now you can read the summaries on the pages. It's an action/romance manga...dunno how I'm going to draw the action sequences yet, but we'll see ^.^

i have one that is half-finished. the figures i passed over slightly in colored pencil, but the background is black and white and you can always go over the coloring i have since it's super light. i'll be posting it in a few days.
