An offended huff of the sorts, followed by the quirking of one's brow. He'd make to adjust his cap slightly, then fold his arms across his chest, ready to spit out an insult when necessary.
"And what business is that to you, exactly--?" He'd asked, tapping his foot idly against the stony street, waiting for an answer.

He'd puffed out his cheeks in an offended-but somewhat adorable-manner, crossing his arms.

He frowned.

"--Well well, if it isn't mini me!" Some form of a smile, he'd make to ruffle the others hair- not so much a loving gesture, more so mocking- before taking a step back, generally eyeing him with a look of mild disdain. "How've you been, then? Still sucking up to the professor, I assume."

"I don't think it would be called 'sucking up', Clive. And I've been fine, for your information."
His name was spoken with malice, as the other crossed his arms, glaring intently at him.

"What would you call it, then?" He'd arch a brow, return the gesture all the while. "That's good, I suppose- no need for the tone, however, I was merely asking."

"It's a typical mentor-student relationship. Nothing more." He'd huffed, shrugging. "I get touchy when people get into my business. You should know that by now."

"Lucas Trition!" Her voice is sharp, the tone of mothers that struck fear into anyone of the room- "How many times have I told you about playing with kitchen-knives and getting blood on your clothes?"

Lucas cocked an eyebrow, glaring at Brenda.
"...Um, I don't know, like, six?" He shrugged, not seeming to care much.

"More than that! Get changed, put on fresh clothes, do you know how much peroxide I'll need to get this mess out?" Her tone is definitely a strict she's not usually wearing, definitely not that of a pleased woman.

"What the fuck are you calling your own mother darling for?" A sigh, through her teeth, losing her calm, "You're grounded. In your room, you go."

A chuckle was heard, followed by the shrugging of his shoulders. He was seriously getting a kick out of this, if you couldn't tell. He'd lowered his hands and shoulders now, trying not to laugh hysterically at all of this.
"No." He'd managed to say between snickers, turning heels to her and starting off.
...Oh shit, this is not going to end well.

The aura about the woman lowers, notably so, and it's the rhythmic click, click, click of heels and the grabbing of the boy by the back of his collar and dragging him or choking him to follow- no matter how strong a thirteen, fourteen year old boy might be, Brenda was definitely, surely, by a wide margin, stronger than he was, dragging with the force and will of gods, and her voice is a low threat. "You just wait until your father gets home."

He'd been taken back by this forceful pulling. He'd tried not to yell, but knowing Lucas, it just slipped out.
"--And what exactly am I supposed to be afraid of? He's just an asshole who was obviously raised by apes. and I'd-" the tugging was cutting off his breathing, "-like to know why I have to follow orders from a whore like you."

He's in deep trouble now.

It was, with all intents and purposes, her tone was dire and her expression, definitely not amused, starting to drag the child into the house, up the stairs. "Then, dear child of mine, what does that make you? I have your birthright, I brought you to the world, I'll just as painstakingly bring you out of it." The tone was absolutely serious, no room for negotiation.

It was, at the top of the stairs, only somewhat intentional- to shove him, placed as a slip of her foot, down the stairs, though by the movement of her arm it was definitely intentional. Three flights of stairs, joy they'd gotten such a tall house.

"And where have you been?" Theodore asked, dabbing a bit of blood away from his face.

"..Well, you see," He began with a sigh, "I recently came across a portal of the sorts."
Lucas said nothing more; he remembered not to speak for too long, as Monocle might get agitated with him.

"Mmm... Yes, do go on, my boy."

"I decided to go through it, to take a few notes about the strange world! There were jesters, photographers, a lot of people. It was radical, if one could describe it."
