Youre very welcome! I bellydance, merengue, taught by relatives, and I took actual hip hop classes in a studio, and since my boyfriend doesn't know how to dance this fall we are probably going to take an either tango (Argentinian, I believe) or salsa class Nod Nod Nod Nod Nod

Oh wow, that’s a nice variety of dance experience!

I’m pretty much a ballroom specialist these days. We did mostly latin photos because latin looks sexier in photos, but I hardly dance it any more.

Hope you keep the dancing up!

i searched dancesport into the search box and i found a few of your photos.
i looked through your gallery and i have to say that it's very good, indeed! i love dancesport (latin mainly) and i was surprised to see how well you capture the dancers which is something that even some professional photographers who do that sort of thing can't do.
oh and i had a look at your journal, i'm sorry that you and your partner split up. i hope you find a new one soon. :) (Smile)
so what's your favourite dance, then?

Hi there!

thankyou for the lovely comments, it's always nice hearing that people like your work. I like how my abilities in dancesport photography are developing too. Still got a long way to go, but I'm learning :) (Smile)

And yep, I've found a new partner, so things turned out well in the end!

My faovurite dance is the La Bomba, which is a New Vogue dance. Of the international 10 dances, my favourite would have to be the Waltz. It's just so lovely to dance.

Yes, your dancesport photography is very good, keep the good work up! La Bomba sounds fun. I also like the Waltz, it's so elegant and sweet. But my favourite would have to be Samba and Jive, one's so energetic and lively and the other fast, rhythmic... hot! Lol! From the ballroom most probably Quickstep though. ;) (Wink)

Of the Latin dances I like the Samba most, if for no other reason than for the music. It's just such an earthy, "thudding" dance.

Other than the Samba I'm not much of a fan of Latin. I much prefer the movement of New Vogue or Ballroom.

Oh, I do like Latin, don't get me wrong (with a partner like Helen, it's impossible not to like the style), but I just feel more natural and comfortable in New Vogue (especially) and Ballroom.

I started seriously only a year ago, but socially for 2. What about you?

well, i did it socially for 4 years, no exams, competitions or anything. then i started it a little mroe seriously and as i said, i just finished my bronze so i'll be doing silver soon. i'm expecting my results on july 10th and i'm really nervous! this has been a really hard exam, so i hope i will pass cos the lating went great but i messed up foxtrot in the ballroom. but i really can't wait to do silver!
i don't do competitions because i don't have a dance partner. :( (Sad)
