I want to get a mask designed professionally and have not done this before and wondered if this is an avenue I could go down.

The mask is based off a movie about Jerusalem and the king of Jerusalem who wore a mask. I would like to know if a mask could be created for half the mask shown in the film, split vertical along the head to toe line. Is this something that would be interesting to make. In steel preferably?

Thanks for your time, this would be interesting to see. There are two masks in the film, the second is the interesting one, of more detailed design.

Hope to hear back, your work is interesting!

Hey man, sorry for the late reply, have been ridiculously busy with work placement at the moment! Glad you like my work dude
I used quite a lot of references for this project but the main ones with the most noticeable connections would be the Assyrian stone relief collection at the British Museum. I loved the way they chiselled the features and hair. There were also a variety of Indian inspired parts, the writing in particular! The inscriptions on my helmet are supposed to be incantations, spoken in tongues during meditation, so they don’t β€˜mean’ anything. Their shapes were supposed to have a feeling, as opposed to meaning... that doesn’t really make sense, haha ok, so I also looked at armour by the Negroli family, check it out if you haven’t already, amazing stuff! Erm what else?? Lion armour from Leeds armoury! And also I have a lot to owe to the game Morrowind, the armour designs in that game have always had an underlying influence in my work! I love that game So yeah, hope that helps dude!! Loved you sketches by the way! Very cool!

Dear Daniel,
You have asked for (constructive)criticism on your pieces but given no comments or explanation (other than "sculpted")on each work nor revealed your INNER process. These are the factors and features which INFORM the work and give your viewers and critics purchase with which to laud or dissect the work...Not only does this help those who wish to give you sincere feedback, but it ALSO gives those who see INSPIRATION in your work a springboard on technique with which to launch their own designs.Becoming a successful artist in today's world means more than just producing intriguing work,it requires diligently keeping the line of communication open between your inner PROCESS,INTENTION, TECHNIQUE and your potential audience or viewers even if they are "virtual".This regular and routine disclosure ON EVERY PIECE you release an image of also provides potential clients, collectors and galleries with a context for the work which invariable helps in ultimately selling it.
Just saying.
If you really want quality criticism you've got to give a bit more of the storyline. It may seem like a pain in the ass at first, but believe me when i say it getsa easier as time goes by.Viewers LIKE a little guidance as to what their seeing. You'll be surprised at how much more they'll appreciate your work if you EDUCATE them just a bit...
