no problem. and how did you figure that out, i am actually. i was actually curious at how you were able to draw taeyeon, i find her very hard to draw, her eyes are difficult for me to draw

Actually it was fairly easy to figure out. I did that page solely so I could post it on SSF in attempts of helping out Sones and since I saw on your profile page that you like SNSD...and that's pretty much it XD

Ahh, to be honest, I believe I did horribly in my drawing of Taeyeon. That's why after I finish drawing portraits of the rest of the girls, I plan on going back and drawing that same picture of Taeyeon. because I did terrible on her lips, like someone said "she has duck lips"

With eyes though, the only thing I could say to you is to keep practicing. Don't just draw them when you're drawing a face. Grab a piece of paper and draw as many eyes as you can; give them different shapes and emotions. The eyes are one of the most important things when trying to convey and "emotion."

Whenever you're drawing any part of a girl, think "gracefully." The rest is all practice and observation.

haha, i dont know, but i thought your taeyeon drawing was really good, but i guess thats just me..."duck lip" not so sure about that. but lips are pretty hard, cause from wat i know, it is not drawn, but rather it is shaded?

thanks for the tip, i decent on eyes, but when it comes to taeyeon eyes, there is this uniqueness in it.....but i will practice with emotion an such. got any guideline for drawing emotions in eyes?

thinking "gracefully" i think this is going to be really hard
but i will give it my all

Yeah, that's the part that's hard about lips because at times they are just shaded in and at other times one must "draw" them. Most often what will be drawn in is the split of the lips; that is to say, the opening of the mouth. When both lips have been shaded in, depending on how large you are drawing and how much detail you are going for, on top of the lips one can draw in the "wrinkles" on the lips, because as we all know, lips aren't smooth.

Eyes really are what gives an artork a "feel" because eyes themselves portray emotions, but what completes the emotions is how you draw they eyebrows. If you've notcied, when a person is mad/annoyed/angry they might slightly tilt their head down, their eyebrows will pull closer to their eyes and their eyelids might change slightly. When a person is cheery/happy, their eyebrows might be slightly rased and their eyes might be opened a bit more. This might also cause more light to shine into the eyes, so you'll see more reflections. Thus adding a smile to the face you think "Happy." Another exercise I recomend you do is. Grab a mirror and do as many facial expressions as you can and notice how your eyes and eyebrows help in the emotion, make a mad face, a gloomy face, a happy face, a surprized face. Doing this you will begin to see how it all works. If you don't want to do this, you can always browse through pictures online

nice. yeah im just beginning. my roommate got me into it last yr. i was always skeptical on getting the right one (no paint or glue, just snap together) but finally i got some some advice from a real Otaku lol.
