Hey mate. 'Bout this story I'm making you write. Don't worry about the twist so much. Set the story up excluding the facts that give it away, focus on the characters, how much the guy's in love with her and the intimate details. That keeps the reader busy thinking about other stuff so the twist can punch them in the face. Then go out in a nice punch line to add some sense of meaning to it. Have an intro paragraph or two of poetics setting up mood, rush the picking her up part, then definitely don't rush the rest from there. Also plan your poetics, you'd like a certain feeling and a consistency to the descriptions and meaningful bits.

Um, I can see what you did, you just earased the edges, but there are tools you can use in most photoediding programs. I have no idea what one you used, though, LOL.

I assure you ... first one was dark, second one is brutal.

So Odysseus and his scouting party are trapped in a cave. Polyphemus the cyclops returns to his cave, finds them and eats two men a day. Odysseus offers Polyphemus extremely strong wine and in return is saved 'til last. He calls himself a name which means 'no man' and tricks Polyphemus into thinking that is his name. While the cyclops is passed out they finish a giant spear they'd been making while he was out the previous day and stab his eye out. He screams "'no man' is doing this to me!" which has the fellow cyclopes confused when they come running from hearing his screams. Believing it to be a curse of the gods they leave him alone not wanting to anger them. Next day he lets his sheep out to graze feeling the tops of the sheep while Odysseus men make their way out by tying themselves underneath the sheep. As they reach the ships Odysseus calls back saying my name is Odysseus and Polyphemus then tried to throw a boulder but misses. He asks his father Poseidon to get revenge and Poseidon sends a storm their way.
It'll probably be my first Greek poem NOT about love... I was going to include Acis and Galatea and have serious reference to Ovid's metamorphoses but that wouldve been too hard, plus Ovid was roman and I've already told you my plans for '

By the end of the year 'Manhunt' and another short story I'm currently working on will be finished. The 2 war stories, the Greek one and the 'Manhunt' sequel will hopefully be done by end of February (taking into account that I may decide to do others first)
