Dear you don't have to thank me for anything! I love your photos and art! (ohh but you already know that   ) 

I'm good, thanks for asking!   I was just angry with my art and art blocks and at the same time my phone broke so I just deactivated it for a while, since I'm not able to add anything now .

- But I can tell you it's amazing to take a break from social media and likes/follow hunting . I have so many new things now which I really like (and without anyones approval, feels good! I almost forgot about self-esteem, I was just making things without thinking and without heart I guess). But that's long and boring shit, what about you sweetie?

Yes unfortunately we all have those moments... But I'm so glad you feel this way now, the liberation! I guess everything does happen for a reason!
AH you know quite an emotional roller coaster... But I am trying to hold on with writing! I'm better now because I'm good at blocking things mentally and I believe that everything will be good in the end and if it's not, its not the end!

I'm glad you're continuing with your work too - that's the best thing to do! Never stop doing what you love, even though shit happens!   And I'm also looking forward to read something from you - but I must admit I missed few of your latest writings (but next week I'm on holiday so I'll catch up I promise!   )

Oh cool! Tell me more! What do you do at uni now? I'm always curious how it goes in different countries!  

Heh I know! But I'm used to do both since high school, but at university I really feel that people are used to separate art students and art historians!
And I love almost everything from Classicism up to modern art   Classicist architecture, D. Ingres, V. Van Gogh, W-A. Bouguereau , F. Towne with J.W. Waterhouse or Dalí for example. But I'm totally obsessed with anything Art Nouveau, that's my favourite period above else! Oh yes and can't forget artists and architects around Bauhaus and the school itself!
However at uni we're stuck at Italian Renaissance and Baroque, that's why now I take inspiration there . 
Well and main idea of my artwork is to put together art history with my (don't wanna say "modern", but I won't come with better word now) work, because people know no artists except famous names like Da Vinci, Michelangelo or Klimt for example. I'm no one famous, but when I give reference under my picture with the original painting I always hope that some people will look at it and remember those, or better  - google the particular artist. Even if one person would do it, it will be success.
I know that art history is very underrated and art historian as a profession is regarded as secondary (I bet you also heard it at least once!  ), but  art and it's history is very important for let's say identity of mankind, even when it doesn't look like it to most people. 
And I thought this was a good way - to put together old art with fanart! At least I will be satisfied

I graduated (dare I say it?) ten years ago. It is really difficult to get jobs in art history itself, but I managed to use the writing experience gained from critiquing art in other professions. Right now I'm getting ready to revamp an art history blog with a focus on the earliest art forms, from Neolithic to Golden Age (Europe, mostly) and Bronze / Iron age in Asia. A friend of mine in Sweden is helping me research a bit about Saami cultures and other art of the north, so I'm having a wonderful time and using the knowledge gained years ago. I've also taught figure drawing classes and am preparing to do a few other survey courses for community education.

Sounds like you're really enjoying your art studies. It does seem like the Italian Renaissance takes such a long time to plow through, but then again that's probably a function of the proliferation of extant works and the emergence of an art culture backed by wealthy patrons. Hard not to get noticed when works are all over the best galleries and sponsored by the Catholic church, right?

I'm always a fan of contemporizing pieces from history, it is wonderful to create awareness of what's gone before and make it uniquely your own.

Let me know if you're ever interested in writing about art in the Czech Republic, I'd love to know more about the local culture!
