# About me

I was born in April 1972 and grew up in Florence.

My photographic activity began at the end of a decade, spent as musician - guitar player - in an alternative Florentine band. In the beginning of 2001, my desire was to "rewrite the rules" of my creative processes and to renew my artistic mode. I was searching also for a new form of art with specifical expressive and technical skills that could be all "brand new" for me, with the specific meaning of a sort of personal artistic challenge. During the summer of the same year, as I had to go to Prague, I decided to buy my first 35mm film camera to try to immortalize the beauty of the splendid czeck city. It was "love at first sight" with that unknown and "obscure" object called reflex camera. From that moment on I expressed myself through photography, an irreplaceable and fundamental way of communication for me and without which I should not be able to share with others what I see, feel and think about life and all the things that surround me. Photography is a sort of "universal dictionary" for me and goes far beyond all language and cultural barriers, allowing me to "speak" with images without the need of words.

Love your work. Beautiful contrast and the use of real women who have not been relieved of every scrap of their body hair!

Thank you very much for you appreciations and comment! In photography I love to work with models who first are women (real women that are not sick of photoshop-abuse on their bodies!) then Muse-models. I don't know how is the situation in UK about women/models in photography but here in Italy is a tragedy! Many, many, too much girls and women want photographers photoshop-addicted who transform them in plastic and perfect dolls Playboy style!

The same is here in the UK. Unfortunately the aesthetic is driven by the porn industry.Young men and boys' first images of naked women and sex are often from on-line porn images which just drives this horrible aesthetic.
Keep up the good work. Beautiful, strong images.

Aesthetic driven by porn industry and by fake glamour magazines destroy reality and a free sexual imagination and desire of people, sad but true!
