It's anything you want it to be ! I just made that word up... I thought it would be obvious it's made up... anyhow you know what a panda, is, right ?

the monkey thing was generated from a series of
short experiments, so I can't imagine drawing
a panda from scratch

Series of short experiments ? Fascinating... how did you imagine/invent those ?
...oh and have you tried with your eyes closed ? I insist on this panda mainly for 3 reasons:
1. The monkey would be lonely alone...(it would be a pity to stop there, you read my comment and I meant it, I love those lines !) 2. a panda is way cuter than an ugly monkey AND 3. A panda has all these natural circles around it's eyes and itself it's drawable like a ball.
Then again, when I used to draw I did it for fun. So if you see no fantasy in this panda, let's forget the whole thing. Perhaps though, you could teach me some tricks...
