Ello folks! I am extremely happy right now. I am reasonable at drawing, but I had no way of getting my art on DeviantArt (not including by camera) unless I completely redrew it with my bamboo tablet (which I am not so good at drawing with yet.) But I just realized that the ancient fax machine in my house makes pretty decent grayscale scans. So yippee! I can color and touch up my work in gimp if ever I feel like it.I love writing and drawing, and I am going to start a comic soon. I kind of want to wait until I am better at drawing, but impatience is getting the better of me. It really gets me when I can’t produce professional quality stuff, but it takes way too long in gimp to get all the lines and colors exactly perfect. (Maybe someday I’ll actually learn how to use gimp… I’m so lazy that I just slug through it and learn it as I go)
I am a Zim fan, so you will probably see some zim art. I can reproduce it in the original style pretty well, but I’m also experimenting a bit with alternate drawing techniques.
Years ago, my friends convinced me to get a DeviantArt account and I never did anything with it. Now I’ve decided my drawing skills are mediocre and need work, so I will be posting the stuff that I make (probably a ton of messed up experiments) here.

Yes. I'm going overboard on a really simple drawing, so I had three pages of sketches of an irken that I was working on, and I fell asleep on the couch watching TV. Of course I had to role over on top of them...

It took me forever to figure out how. Mainly because I couldn't figure out how to get all the white from the paper cleanly away from the lines. But I know how to now! I could teach you if you want. I use gimp. Do you have a photo editing/ drawing/ coloring program?

Gimp is a free photo editing program that you can download online. It mimics a purchasable photo editing program called Adobe Photoshop, but does not steal code/trademarks/ect. and so is legal and legitimate. It is not quite as professional and detailed as Photoshop, but it is very good quality for a free program, and if art is your hobby and not your career, it should more than meet your needs. Some professional artist probably use it and still do fine. Also importantly, it is virus free, but make sure to get it from the official website.
