memo has been incredibly cheery two days ago, XD. i just happened to find another computer thrown out in the street and was having loads o fun dissecting it...

i found four sticks of 128 MB ram for desktops...
a CMOS battery, which i put into my watch, lol. [a flat circular battery made out of stainless steel used to power watches, apple remotes, and computer clocks.]
a pentium II cpu. i took it out of the motherboard, sold it and made a bit of pocket change, XD
a 5GB hard drive. i put that into my old desktop.
a floppy drive, i also put that into my old desktop.
a DVD burner. i also put that in.
power supply... i threw that away.
an ethernet pci card. i put that into my old PC, but doesn't work... needs drivers.
motherboard... i keep that for display in the house. it looks nice. it was for a dell dimension desktop back in the 90's.
cooling fans... graphics card with 8MB of memory.
SATA cables. threw the old ones in my computer and put those in.
when i was done, the chasis was just a block of metal.

exactly! those desktops have treasure. why? cuz the towers are full of goodies inside. there's 40 GB hard drives in those things that my old desktop can use.
but the staff probably wouldn't want me looking inside those hard drives... aww.
