i'm a self-taught designer too .
i'll talk about the back posters as they have more than an element :
first of all you need to know the elements of the back cover :
1- renders (IMO it's irreplaceable )
2- match listing
3- synopsis ( optional )
4- event photos 
i'll take your Pro Wrestling Blitz High Stake s cover as an example
the front is awesome & the whole cover would look much better if you used the front's background in the back & separate the elements of the back to create an idea .
