# About me
Hello and welcome to the page of an amateur photographer :)I don't really class myself as an actual photographer, though! When a certain place or view captures my attention, often I'm inspired to take a photo. I like being able to convey my thoughts to others through a photo I've taken. I was never one of those arty people at school - give me a piece of paper and any art I'll produce is a complete mess!
I have always been into graphics and design - my job designing research project websites, to playing on Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop at home. I never actually owned my own camera until July 2010 when I bought a Nikon S3000 simply because I wanted something for holiday photos. For now, I'd like to say I'm getting by with it because I'm really focusing on practicing how to get a good shot. Hell, what am I kidding myself - if I had Β£300 or so I'd be onto a DSLR in no time!
The thing I do like about my S3000 is that it's super compact so it goes literally everywhere with me. I'm pleased with what I've been able to do considering i bought one of the most basic cameras there was. But yes, I do edit with Photoshop if I want a particular effect - like something I want done with LucisArt or in tilt-shift. Until I get a DLSR that's the only way I'll be able to spill my creative ideas into the exact type of photo I want. Anyway, feedback is definitely welcomed and I appreciate you popping in.
