that was my plan on how they'd meet in person actually. Maybe have Yang get depressed about losing her arm prematurely. Johnathan steps in to give her a small pep talk, walks her though the basics of life with one arm. Raku shows up at the Beacon dance as per Summer's orders for 'time off to relax and scope out the locals'. They meet and have a slow dance together. Then Johnathan busts though the door wrestling a bounty hunter from MERC in N7 gear, both fighting to the death in extreme close quarters. Got it all planned out in my head sort of. Mass effect vs Halo gear, Maybe having Emily pop in for a energy sword vs light saber fight. i'm not sure entirely just yet

Hum sounds interesting. Though I'd see Raku And summer fighting the fact that he hast to go for you know political BS and shit like that and like you explained. Though I'd think they'll connect more if they specifically talk about why they raised there younger sisters. Like Raku's parents being MIA and Yang because her father shut down.

Maybe also when the missions are being selected Ozbin asks Sumner if she can spare Raku so that he can get away with bending the rules to let team RWBY go on there mission to a hide out in the south east to make it more believable as to why Ozbin let a first year team of huntresses go to what should have been a fourth year mission. That Team RWBY has a bit extra fire power bit also someone to keep Yang's hopes up because of her missing arm. And of course bound by Raku's and Yang's personal struggles. And if Oobleck decided to question him as to why he joined the Spartans he'd reply "At first is was for revenge but when I had to actually lead a fire team I had to my vengeance at the back door to make sure my men get back to there family's safely. I'm a Spartan because there nothing in this universe that I'd rather be. We have to bare the Scares of war so that our newer and younger generation won't have to."

Oh he's a Christian but he sways people into it by asking thoughtful and intellectually questions. Though not often.

I like it, honestly was going to have Johnathan be on their mission. Or have Summer at Beacon to have a special 'mission' just for Freelancer involving the portals popping up all over the place. Ozpin allows it under the guidance of a somewhat sober Qrow. Maybe have RWBY and JNPR team up because of JNPR's missing leader and RWBY's injured team mate. Again this is all loosely scripted out in my mind. Lots i still have to figure out. Best one is where Johnathan takes Velvet aboard a Pelican to see the old Destroyer. Velvet dons Serena's ODST armor and the two go into space. Few cute 0-gravity fluff scenes with them finally kissing on the bridge overlooking Remanent. Maybe having the two dance in a relatively devoid cargo bay. Loosely connected in my mind right now. still drawing out the details. Maye have something similar with Raku and Yang, only with Yang cracking all sorts of jokes. Including the very obvious 'i can see my house from here' joke.

I can see that. Though I can see him quipping back "Ah because this is house" that sort of speal. Though Raku does see Yang flirting with him but he's passive about because of augmentations. However that doesn't mean he isn't devoid of emotions as Yang thinks she sees. And also that he won't flirt back because he sex drive is like that for the original spartan lls but that's doesn't mean he can't know his way around the bed because he already had a daughter. Though I do see Ruby cooing at little Naomi before leaving the tour to ti Armory in heaven because you know she's a weapon nut

True, very true. I was planning on her going a little nuts over the sniper rifles and Spartan Laser. Yeah got that bit all planned in my head. Thinking of having Weiss look around the bridge and sneak a seat in the Captain's chair, pretending to be a captain because let's face it, that is exactly what she'd do. Right before Summer comes back and promptly chews her out for daring to sit on her beloved seat that survived the Fall of reach, Battle of earth, Cortana's hostile take over of the galaxy, and countless other fights that the old destroyer survived and promptly gave the middle finger to her opponents by surviving it all. Think of having Nora raid the kitchen with a few ODST steering clear of the hammer wielding maniac as she devours their supply of syrup and pancakes. I can see the conversation going something like this.
"Hey, should we go stop her before she eats this ship clean? That is the last of our pancakes and syrup."
"Gunny, do you see that there hammer on her backside? The one with a grenade launcher mixed into it? Yeah, YOU tell her to stop! I just got out of the infirmary."

In control of a massive (Well massive for the RWBY universe, Ironwood's capital ship i found is about a little smaller then a frigate or destroyer from halo, which is tiny in comparison to the big boys like the cruisers or carriers) warship and can function every aspect it with little more then a thought. Yeah i would assume that AI Ruby would get bored eventually and want to play Matchmaker with her older 'sister'.

I was planing that, well with Yang more interested in the low gravity or spinning around like a absolute idiot for a few minutes while Raku yells at AI Ruby, while human Ruby is busy begging one of the Spartan IVs aboard to let her fire the Spartan laser 'just one time'. Maybe have Blake overlooking Remanent from a window and saying something deep for the plot like 'It's funny how small everything seems now. the White fang, the Grimm, Us. We're all so small in the grand scheme of things. Are we just copies of ourselves from another universe, with someone with a plan on what we're going to do before we even realize what is happening? Or do we actually have free will to choose what we do? Makes me wonder, are we truly our own person? Or are we just here to tell a story?'. Damn it, now i got to include that. Sounds like something she would figure out first out of everyone there.

True. Though I do also see AI Ruby playing something from Raku's personal play list as she has Both Yang and Raku trapped in a barracks room with the speakers on. I'd say a couple of songs for that moment would be Hynm for the missing by red to get though the depressing stuff such as there past but brighten up the scene with For King And County's - Shoulders when they got I to the reasons why they chose the life they chose. Those songs actually had a emotional impact on raku when he attended a throw back music concert that the ships chaplain was hosting and played several songs from the 2000s that where still popular to there current year that there in. That I see as a emotional impact in the story for that particular scene as far as I know haven't really done a romantic scene except for the current chapter in my really long titled fanfic.

Could work. I might tweak it a bit to fit the plot for that Narrative. Going back and breaking down the story into Narratives (Seasons of RWBY to make it easier to follow along). Each with their own arcs and fluffy bits for all, as well as death and horrific gore later down the line. Been getting a few ideas on the portal crisis Remenant is facing. Planning on having the Bunny Beasts pop up around chapter 15 from Winter's POV as they slaughter and eat an entire village. I am going back and editing the story right now to make it flow and feel better, set up the plot of Winter's side as she deals with in a few short months; is what Johnathan got use to after three long and gruesome years.

Yeah, hits his past right on the nail. Of course i could be interpreting it differently. Music is subjective. I was honestly thinking Breaking Benjamin's 'into the nothing' fits him a little more or 'Unknown soldier'. Speaking of which i might go back and edit that chapter. re-read it a dozen times and feel like it is one of the bad chapters plaguing the later chapters with how quickly it was written and lack of detail. Definitely going back to edit the earlier chapters from 20 back. First few i feel don't properly portray the later chapters and feel like they were rushed. Going to be a while, but i will make everything flow right and good. Also planning on having a fight between Qrow and Emily. No lightsabers, she'd want him alive to send a message. Not sure on how i want to go about it, but it does sound like a good idea to get Qrow into the scene a little early

I can see his former friends past and current and family trying to get him to open up and talk to him but he just ignore there please to let them help him because he thinks he's far beyond helping from them when it's not true.

"Where are you know? Are you lost? Will I find you again? Are you Alone? Are you afraid? Are you searching for me? Why did you go? I had to stay now I'm reaching for you. Will you wait? Will you wait? Will I see you again?"

Both his family, and friends and him shouting to the sky. Why is this happening to me? If there's a God in this world why have you given me such a life filled with bitterness and desappear? Will I be missed when I pass? Will the memory of my sacrifices be remembered? Why have I been given this life if hatred and spite. I feel alone and afraid wondering if people will search for me to help me. Is this a ploy to get me to notice some higher being because I'm waiting for a answer but it will never come.

"You took it when you left these scars that are just a trace. Now it wonders lost and wounded this heart I misplaced."

I see John shouting who will help me with the scares I have and because of my precious people's betrayal I have no where or no one to place my broken heart to.

Thats what I thought when I heard "Hynm for the missing" and when John talks personally with anyone he knows about his past.

I can see that. But Johnathan is a complicated character i am writing and trying to show. One side (The front he puts up for the sake of those around him) he is kind, easy to get along with, and sometimes fun to be around. Then there is his darker side (The side he shows in combat or when a friend is in danger) he is merciless, protective, down right scary to anyone in his way. He's been hardened by over three years of extreme stress, countless deaths, and the worst the multiverse can throw at someone. Plan on going back to properly portray his darker side. Trying to use him to show that everyone struggles with their own personal battles every day. World isn't black and white as it seems, he's the grey in between. Does what he feels is right regardless of how it gets done.

You know how Halo 4s ending with Cortana "dying and Master Chief becoming a emotionl wreck?

How about this? It's similar to the ending but a AI dies for good

As soon as Raku gets the kids and his daughter to becon safely the covenant vessel that is apart of Cortanas covenant deals a nasty blow to the sister ship of the "Last Rose of Summer" Raku getting reports from the ship AI that was his once his personal AI companion like Chief amd cortana where he Flys to the sister ship and finds out that the captain was killed by a blow from the covenant vessel Captain Summer orders Raku to take command sense he's the only junior officer on the sister carrier. However when he took command of it and both human carriers where starting to win the covenant vessel decides to bomb becon but because of old habits Raku and his personal AI that's in the sister carrier stop the bombardment of the school but sadly like you wanted the ship gets heavily damaged and everyone excluding Raku died on impact to the forest Raku and his personal AI Xion get the ship to work again but because of everything that they both went through and being his personal AI for 8 years like cortana starts to show rampancy. After getting the ship to work again and in the air they decided to make the suicide run Raku Manually activates the nukes and blows up the vessel but instead of dying like he was supposed to in the cold vacuum of space point blank range to the face. Like in halo 4 he's in a slipspace cub where he meets Xion in a life size form

Raku: Xion what's going on? Why are you jittery and why are we here?

Xion: come big bro I'm the strangest thing you've seen all day?

Raku: then if no it can't you cant? *trying to hold back as much emotion as possible because Xion was a AI made from his sisters brain*

Xion: you did it, you've made it just like uncle John did

Raku: but that means. .

Xion: 7 years ago Raku. 7 Years of wonderful adventures together *steps forward* I was being driven to rampancy to keep you safe from "her" hands (meaning cortana because he was John-117s "nephew")

Raku*looks down then up in hope as his helmet depolorizes*: wait Halsey she created you she can fix you!

Xion*shakes her head no*: it's to late Raku. Most of me is down there *looking at the demolished ship and covenant ship*

Raku*closes his eyes to hold back tears*: I was supposed to protect you. Like what Mom and Dad said as the eldest.

Xion: we where supposed to take care if each other Big bro. *smiles sadly* and we did. *hugs him and there "hearts" heated up* I've always wanted to do this. My last day to comfort you like the sister I was supposed to be. *breaks her embrace and walks backwards*

Raku*looks up and holds out a out stretched arm*: Wait!

Xion*smile of sadness amd a low head looks more real*: Welcome to a new life and home.

Raku: Xion. . . please

Xion*a tear falls from her avatar before looking up*: Goood bye Raku *her AI form desappears leaving Raku alone in the slipspace square until it to begins to vanish*

Raku*then is pulled into the "Last Rose of Summer" amd has the same talk that Captain Lasky gave to Chief but instead of Lasky and chief it's Summer and Raku*

Raku*talking about both his late wife Daisy and Xion*: They both said that to me once. About being a machine

Not bad but i fear the Halo fans would chew me up for that. My idea was to have a Halo version of Qrow manually pilot the destroyer on it's suicide run, talking to Summer on their many adventures together to remind her of the good times they had, before asking her if she remembered their night on Reach. She responds tearful that she can never forget it because he gave her the best gift she could ask for. He tells AI Ruby to look after her mother for him while he downs the last pre-war bottle of whiskey from Harvest, as a last drink before he meets his creator. Then on the open channel to where ANYONE can hear, more specifically the Covenant ship he is about to ram, he yells at the top of his lungs.
"This is sergeant Qrow Branwen saying OO-to the-fucking-RAH! See your sorry asses in hell you ugly, hinge headed, planet burning, slimy, slip lipped, covenant bastards!" Right before he fired the MAC guns at point blank to destroy the shields and rams right into the cruiser, and detonated the Shiva nukes aboard his own ship. Got some of the inspiration from a Halo Reach machinima.

I guess it's as close to the halo 4 thing I was going on to make him a bit more emotionally impacting but then again there's a lot of people who just fucking hat Halo four simply for game play reasons but there was nothing wrong with the story now granted a couple of more missions with just simply chief and cortana at the beginning before they get to the Infinity would make it flow a bit better but why does a good goddammit cute scene like the ending of halo 4 have to be so fucking hated just because it was attached to halo 4 now I get it your not trying to anger people with what happened with halo 4 but by God I was really hoping for that type of naritve. Sorry just still a bit mad that people hate halo 4 for the wrong reasons

It's okay. I'm on Halo 4 about every other day. Multiplayer isn't too bad except for when i got absolute shit team mates. just rounding the corner on adrift and there is the entire enemy team, power weapons ready to fire and all aimed at me. SAW, both shotgun types, beam rifles, sniper rifles. I never last longer then a minute without grenades. Few things about halo 4 i like, few i don't. Spartan ops could have been better, they could have kept Fire fight mode instead. Load outs i am indifferent on, ordinance drops i like to a point. Changes the course of the battle on a dime with the right timing. As for the Cut scene, it is over used in the Halo fanfic area. People want originality, i am trying to go for that with a few funny scenes from various sources.

I've read like twenty either begining around the end credit scene of Halo 4, incorporated it in some way, or ended it in a similar fashion. Hardcore fans are difficult to please, anime fans are just as bad. Pop on the review section to a bad anime fanfic and watch the chaos fly. Kind of funny in some cases. As for the opinions, some see it like that while others see it as a lack of creativity. Depends on how you look at it. I've read some stories that were pretty much carbon copies of others and of the original source material with their own OC or some tiny bullshit changed. Internet is a dangerous place, one wrong move and it will eat you alive.

That would go along with AI ruby trapping them in the storage room. Now just throwing this idea out there, but what if Yang had her arm grafted back on with MELD from the X-com universe. An idea i had while playing the game for shits and giggles (I still think Enemy within should be a DLC instead of it's own seperate game on X-box). Got it sort of planned out. They go to the facility with Winter, open up a portal with Atlas's extreme prototype portal projector, Raku goes along with them as added security, Johnathan talks to Dr.Vahlen and works out a deal for Yang to get her arm back, Raku helps Yang adjust to the surgery, they go back as Nora or Ruby happily 'borrow' a skeleton suit or ghost armor. I am not sure entirely yet. Might be a while down the road.

Still in the works, progress is slow with life kicking me in the teeth every chance it gets. Got around 10,000 words written. Going though it thoroughly to clean up any bugs or mistakes i find. Plus regular procrastination has gotten me. Coming along. Plan on adding your OC in at the end of the chapter. Difficult to write a scene with several different conflicting sources and make it flow good. Even adding in a iconic Star wars quote for Emily. I'll get to that part later.

Have Raku (when he gets to vale after being with Yang and stuff) and Blake talk about what should be done with the white fang because he tends to out right muder terrorists. And have them deep like Blake saying "But there just misguided! You can't kill them because of "this or that!" They have kids!" And raku replies with something like "Never use the emotions card on me! It will never work. They made there choice they could ether be the "statistic" or they could be the standard! But no Blake they chose to be the statistic! They muder people innocent people what about there family's? What about there kids they end up leaving behind! As of now there's only two options for a white fang member when they show up to fight. Defect? And be able to see there family's without there children knowing they killed innocent people for a cause that was not worth orphaning there kids to or they fight and muder and rip a innocent soul from the world and send them back to the after life. Because I for one am not going to stand idle when a terrorist trys to harm people who never did shot to them. Yes I know they go through some tough times but there only making the situation worse by joining them! How would you feel Blake if your mother or father or both parents where terrorists and they killed innocent people all for "the greater good for Faunus kind?" How would you feel? Guilt that your even related to muderors? Sad because the very people you trust with your life takes the lives of others without even stopping to consider how this would work out? Stop and think blake! They don't care who they kill! Amd it never stops! But one thing that I fucking learned the hard way vengeance will always leave you empty inside it's a hungry bitch that comes back for more and it never stops and gets bigger" you know that kind of speal

Because my oc hates terrorists really with a fucking passion. And unless there wounded or unarmed and surrendering he'll kill any terrorist that takes life for wicked causes that's so waste full

Probably be a verbal fight between the two, and Mu chipping in her two cents. Feel like i haven't fleshed out her character a much as i should. He'd sometimes gives us a "motivational speech" but it's basically something that can be applied here "you can ether be the statistic or you can be the standard! If you want people to know you for you then be the standard that the statistic wants to be.

Video of your OC kicking some Covenant or Banished ass, Yang happens to find on her scroll, Calls Johnathan in or go to find him, then tries to ask if he knows the person on the video. Skips to Summer's POV with her on her destroyer, trying to gain control of the shit show in the Faunus homeland, and we get to see a mini AI version of Ruby. Only down side i can find with my idea is how to include the AI and the real Ruby in the same universe without it screwing everything I already set up.

Why not have her in a child like form? In a summer dress? And have Summers AI kind of like thetas though questions do you plan of having Summer come from the same Universe that my oc is coming from because I know good scene from the expendables that makes her and him kind of have a comedy moment

Raku*takes out the last elite or so he thought*: Summer the towns clear rondevu back to the kids in the pelican over *a bullet from a sniper rifle hits a Elite that was about to stab him, Raku looks at Summer with a sniper rifle and back at the elite that was three inches taller then him* ARE YOU CRAZY!? YOU COULD HAVE TAKEN MY HEAD OFF! *he yells in ager at almost being shot in the head tapping his Custom ODST spartan helmet*

Ruby*Summers AI*: you sure that response was really needed

Xion*on coms*: yeah Summer that was awfully close

Summer: what he'll live. I just saved his hid.

Raku: BY WHAT ALMOST BLASTING MY HEAD TO PIECES!?

Summer is the Captain of the Destroyer, so her on the field with a sniper rifle would make as much sense as throwing Yang in a Book club meeting. With a few notable exceptions (Jacob and Miranda Keys out of necessity and plot mostly), ship captains in Halo don't go on the battlefield all that often. If they do then they're normally armed with a pistol from what I've found though several books and the games.  I was planning on having her AI form look a little like that, with the AI being of Summer's actual daughter who was killed by the Covenant. Tricky thing is trying to find a way to explain there being two Ruby's in the same universe. Maybe having the AI Ruby go rampant and ram the Destroyer into a Covenant battleship. Too many ideas swimming though my head.
