Natsuo gently blew on his hot cup of Starbucks coffee. The enticing smell of roasted beans and cream met his nose but yet his thoughts kept detracting him from ever taking a taste. His father had asked him to do a favor regarding the littlest Todoroki sibling. Initially he denied but only until his sister ask instead was when he accepted. She always knew he couldn't reject his big sister. However, he still didn't understand why he had to be the one to teach this hero lesson. He wasn't a hero. In fact, he was saw unfit to be one the very moment he was born.
So why?
He supposed he couldn't complain though, despite his confusion. This could be used as an excuse to spend more time with the sibling he hardly knew.
Natsuo stood right outside of a physical therapy clinic, continuing to simply enjoy the scent of his coffee as his mind wandered. It was only after a little awhile when his grey eyes looked up to see Shouto approaching. He brightly smiled at the sight.
"Hey! Wow, I've never seen your hero getup before. You look snazzy. No doubt you'll get all the fangirls once you become a full fledged hero. Um...."
His words trailed off as his tried to get his thoughts straight, trying to figure out how exactly to continue on. "So, I'm sure dad told you I'm supposed to teach you something. Before we start though, let's do a pop quiz. Why do heroes need to be wary of damaging buildings?"

{βοΈ} SHOUTO wasn't doing anything important- he was idly reading through the messaged he missed on the 1-A group chat (which didn't have any real updates either). he looked at his brother with an equal gaze as natsuo seemed completely serious- a rare moment between the two brothers.
{βοΈ} UNTIL shouto was caught off guard by the subject. he wasn't expecting natsuo to bring up that. shouto's eyes widened for a bit as the other even got out his phone. embarrassment flared up within the younger brother. he shook his head firmly.β I already knew what you're talking about, Natsuo.Β β

Books?? Shouto, you shouldn't be raised by books. Dad is supposed to be teaching you this stuff. Don't tell me he separated you from us just to throw books at you. Although kudos to him for at least doing that I guess because he didn't do absolutely shit with me.

{βοΈ} EVEN shouto's face didn't change much, he stared at his brother with a soft gaze. he could only mutter 'natsuo-' as he understood the other's frustration. after all, shouto didn't learn any normal child should learn from his older siblings and his father: going to a festival, taking them to normal places families would have fun- no, shouto was raised on learning how to use his quirk, what he could do to make himself stronger through training. his siblings had to deal with an absent sibling and a father who didn't acknowledge them. shouto understood the frustration and stayed quiet as the other vented out his anger briefly.
{βοΈ} SHOUTO tilted his head briefly in confusion. he already cursed enough for his age. but soon that sentiment was washed away by the question. come to think of it, he never did learn how to ride a bike. but that was at least one thing he could learn from his brother. and it would be useful as well. he shook his head once more and had a determined look on his face.β I don't.Β β

*Natsuo was strucked with a tinge of guilt the moment he heard his name being muttered from the younger one. He genuinely didn't like whenever he let himself get angry. He saw himself as a cheerful young man that enjoys playing around sometimes yet he always fails to retain himself whenever his dad became the topic of a conversation. It was such a sensitive thing for him to talk about and he could never help but blow up in the end. Natsuo may have failed to inherit his dad's quirk but his DNA still ran through him. He not only got his body type but also his quick to anger attitude, something he continuously tries to work on*

What are you going to be doing if every villain decide to fly to Hawaii for a weekend vacation? Just sit at home? What I'm trying to get at here is I don't want you to forget to nurture yourself, not as a hero but as a human being. I'm an English teacher, and I also run a FridayΒ radio show called "Put Your Hands Up Radio". Insertshamelessplughere heh. I'm very fulfilled in my life and I'm very happy as a result.
