# About me

Hello, nice to meet you! I am D.

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, and writing almost as long. Nothing truly impressive, though one day I aspire to draw like the artists who inspire me. As a child I wanted to be a novelist until I discovered manga and anime. Avidly reading Shonen Jump, I found myself comparing the stories to the several day long adventures my friends and I'd weave. I wanted to be a manga artist for the longest time, because I knew our stories were potentially just as good.

Fast forward many years and many career goal changes (SFX artist, Director, Anime creator, Programmer, Game Developer) and I found myself learning game development by day and working to the point of mental exhaustion by night (and on into the next day). Every year previous, I had a new hobby (the previous dropped as school'd interfere) which helped me relax (writing poetry, fanfiction, novels, playing games, drawing manga, animation, drawing two badly made, ignored webcomics... etc), but seeing as the better part of my old hobbies were now work... I was miserable.

Except when drawing. Somehow even when drawing is work, it rarely seems that way. Anyway, now I hope to share the joy drawing brings me, with you.
