Thank you I use 8B derwent pencil for dark areas and PRESS HARD AS HELL. 

The paper you use should be thick! Not regular thin papers. 

I heard that charcoal pencils should be good for dark areas but I haven't try it yet (my wallet got stole when I was gonna buy them T_T)

Don't stop drawing - you WILL become better. Take a look at drawing tutorials in youtube they are a great help

lol i'm lazy too! I've done 7 of the 12 but I think I've lost my motivation for the rest :-\ I actually have been watching a few videos. I'd really love to be able to do photorealism but I think I'm not patient enough...usually after a day or two of working on something I'm going out of my mind wanting to be done..lol

I still haven't drawn Lay, Suho, xiumin, Chen, Chanyel.. although I've drawn some numbers of Tao xDDD my little panda haha

Realistic drawing does take A LOT of patience and concentration. T_T

Just keep drawing! You'll get there and experiment with drawing tools. 

I can see some amazing artists use pretty much expensive tools.. wish I can't afford haha

I've done all of exo-m plus sehun but I needed a break from their beautiful faces  

I use graphite and charcoal. I hate painting but I have want to try pastels. Oh I know, it feels like no matter how good I get I'll never be as good as a lot of other people out there! But that's ok, I do art for my own enjoyment...although I wouldn't mind if it would bring in some money

OMG you've almost reached your goal! Don't you find that it's easier to draw your bias??

Tao, Kai % Kris are my biases and I think I draw them better then the other members xDD

I just bough charcoal - still haven't try it.. it should be very effective for dark areas

I've never tried pastel.. sound messy lol

Yeah I wish I could sell some of my drawings, papers and pencils are not cheap at all.

It is so much easier to draw my bias! The problem is picking a bias in EXO As of right now, Kris, Lay, Luhan and Sehun are tied for first and Baekhyun, Tao, Chanyeol, Chen and Xiumin are tied for second hahaha pretty much I just love all of them for one reason or another. I want to redo Luhan and Kris though because I drew them first and I think I can do better now...but people might start to think I'm obsessed though

I've been using charcoal for about 10 years and it's very messy but great! My only advice is watch your hand and invest in a fixative! It makes a huge difference for dark areas. I used just graphite on Sehun and you can see the a lot of shine.

Hahaha you're right it's hard picking biases in EXO!

Oh I had a fixative but I didn't know how to use it until I drew my first realistic portrait (couldn't resist Rens beauty lol)

Charcoal is magic for huge dark areas!!! Works like charm
