Its all dandy, I had a very reflective day the other time because my old time childhood buddy is going to the military (Air Force) as a planner for routes for air pilots (Basically sittin' on the computer all day) and that means I wont get to see her anymore ;^; after March... yeah...

and my cousins are taking it slow ever since that day happened. They seem better, but just taking it slow. For me it feels like something is missing, but its okay-- at least he's resting c:

i'm doing AWESOME! because here are my dun-du-du-du-dun...my senior plans of 2014! First over the summer, im gonna go to lone star and get my associates, then transfer to a four year university or, and heres the kicker, the art institute of north houston and finish off my last two years of  college and im DDDDDOOOOOOOONNNNNNNEEE! FINALLY! but graduatio is coming around in 2-3 months from now, would you like to come?...

I'm trying, especially since I'm going to college now!! (singing).
Dude, I'm having so much fun taking my art classes.
So far, I have Art History Survey II, Ceramics I, Metal/Jewelry Design I, and Drawing II.
Art History is great. I'm at an 88% right now and I'm aiming for that A! I also like it because I get to learn about the (what I like to call) the "O.G.'s" (original gansters or O.B.'s (original badasses)) and how their art relates/influenced all the art in the world today.
Ceramics was and still is giving me a run for my money but its getting better. Right now, I'm making a bible with a rose on top so, i'm having fun with that.
Metals is pretty damn cool with all the metals and how different the texture is from other mediums. So, I'm enjoying it but it still gives me a run for my money. Really bad....
And finally, of course, DRAWING!! (something I'm good at..) IT IS SSSSOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!! (though granted that sometimes I already know more than what they teach me) It's awesome..In fact, just this Wednesday, we colored penciled a pumpkin and I had so much fun but I had to leave early so I didnt get to finish it.. But, on the bright side, it put me in such a great mood, afterwards.
Anyway, I have to talk to you tomorrow because my roomates are sleeping and I'm pretty sure my typing is getting on their nerves so, I'll respond to the rest of the messages tommorrow.

Anyway, college art is different...like really different. like you feel like there's always someone better than you and we're all still winners. its weird. and roomates are friendly but I MUCH RATHER HAVE MY OWN PLACE...its not a bad experience though.

Oh I'm not really sure.
Some of my characters grow over time, and some just comes to me. I think I take inspiration from a lot of people around me. It helps a lot when trying to make characters on your own. ^^

lol. i know whatcha mean. i love certain details in other peoples art,especially the eyes and definetly the style. i practice those when i draw but the thing about it is the hands and legs position. its a little hard to visualize. btw i bet you got started drawing bodies well by practicing the circle line method. you know the one where you draw a cirlce and two lines, one going vertical, one going horizontal, and you make the face and so on for the body, right? i practice that a little but my patience has never been well patient.lol. also too, how was your holiday and new year?

Yes I love using boxes and balls when I draw bodies. I use a lot of stickfigures to get the poses right too.
I think it gets easier when you practice. It may take some time, but I think it's worth it in the end!

My holidays were awesome-fific but now im in school. poop. lol. thanks for the advice Gabbi. Maybe in time i will draw my own characters but ive found a new love. taking photos and drawing them with colored pencils. you see because ive turned over a leaf. im goning to use my art to help people happy when things get hard. i mean i might as well since i can draw, right?

Hey, Cindy. have you ever drawn with colored pencils? if so, do you ever notice how other artist use strange light colors around the eyes and even in the hair? do you know how they do that? i find it really strange but it makes the whole picture look outstandingly pretty. can you tell me how they do it? (if you want to know what i mean then check out colored pencil portraits..ill tell you the exact picture im talking about when i find it but im probaly sure youll know what im talking about when you type that in..) thanks Cindy!Happy hoildays!!
