# About me
I started writing as a slightly abstract stream of consciousness form of journaling, and found that I couldn't stop. Gradually I started to edit more, but the poems are still pretty close to the way that they fall out of my head onto the page. I enjoy the occasional poetry open mic night, when the need to share outweighs my fear of making a complete fool of myself.Originally from the UK, I've called many places home; from China to Japan, Romania to Australia, each place has its own stories to tell.
You can follow my adventures on my website.

You're welcome Thank you! That was me a few years ago. My hair has been through many transformations since then, but none as spectacular as that one

have you thought about going back to having hair like that? :0

ef-barber In reply to hypnicjerks [2015-08-17 02:34:50 +0000 UTC]
Regularly! I probably will do it again at some point. Itβs just high maintenance in terms of having to bleach my hair then keep renewing it as the colours fade out. I mean, you dye your hair too right?γSo youβll know where Iβm coming from. Sometimes Iβm really into it and seeing my hair as an art project and other times I just donβt want to bother with all that stuff. Being in China at the moment, I donβt really know where to buy the colours etc and when traveling (which Iβm not really doing at the moment, mostly working) is one of the times when I donβt want to bother. The first time I did it it was kind of a bonding experience with a new friend and we wrote some songs whilst we were waiting for the dye to do its thing, and formed a band/duo called Rainbows and Unicorns which is still going strong when geography finds us in the same place (apologies for the probably-longer-than-you-were-expecting reply )

Just saw all the pictures on facebook, so amazing, looks like you had a great time. I'm adamant about travelling more myself since Australia, definitely want to do that again. Still in Bristol, yeah, got a flat with Izy. It is a really awesome city, so many arty things going on, I'm really enjoying it.

Bristol seems to keep cropping up all over the place in my life at the moment. It would definitely be my first choice of english city to live in. I'm really tempted to live abroad for a year though. I really want to learn some languages, and I'm making the most of being able to travel whilst living with my parents. I'm still waiting for some kind of life plan to fall into place.

I'm becoming more and more aware of the fact that waiting for a life plan to happen is pretty much all life actually is. I've been in the process of attempting to actively sort my life out for at least four years now, probably realistically longer.

Oh wow, that sounds amazing. Hope you enjoy it, I have a friend who did his CEP there and he loved it.
I'm doing pretty good now, Bristol is lovely. And currently doing everything to distract myself from actually writing a book. But at least those distractions are paint and ukulele, so it still involves making things

Yeah, I can't really complain, I'm getting very excited at being able to do things other than writing I just seem to be neglecting writing. But I just wrote a poem, so hopefully I can get my protagonist to sit down, shut up, and start telling her story now.

Good luck! I sometimes neglect art forms for years but always come back to them. I'm sure the writing will come together when you're ready. Enjoy the other things!

Yeah, I gave up on poetry for some serious years before Dartington rekindled my love for it. I haven't written a book since pre-Dartington though, and they were both pretty bad, so I'm kinda shy of starting. Need to stop thinking about it and just do it I guess. But yes, I am enjoying my new pursuits, it's very exciting, finding other things I'm capable of
