I'm only 21 and I own only a '51 Matchless G3Ls and a '54 Royal Enfield G2/mag. I was just brought up around alot of these bikes so thats all I know lol. I don't have a tourer yet. But I'm waiting to finish my masters in two years and earn one
Pretty nice bike you got there. But I'm wondering why I hear most tourers say they're waiting for good weather. I mean, out of curiosity, coz I am SOOOO waiting to get out there on the open road, What part does the weather play in riding out ?. Isn't it more beautiful in the rain?.
I would believe modern motorcycles were made to withstand climatic variations, as opposed to vintage motorcycles. So why does eveybody wait for summer?
I hope you don't mind me asking. I'm just curious to know

riding in the rain has pros and cons. yes, it is beautiful, and the bike doesn't suffer the rain, but if there are around 0 celsius degrees you can imagine how freezeing the experience could be, plus it is less safer: tarmac gets slippery if wet and dirty and you will get tired much sooner.
summer, autumn and spring are the best seasons to ride, at least here in Europe. I ride in winter too, but it is more difficult to plan and undertake a safe trip when you can find ice and snow on the roads.
On the other side, if there's too hot there are cons as well: attention level, tiredness, thirst... those are all aspects to watch out if you want a safe ride

Thank you. I never thought of that. . I ride a small common man's motorcycle (150cc) to university everyday, its 55 miles away . how's THAT for tiring xD. lol. I'll always keep this advice in mind though. Thank you

lol. . Either I go by college bus which takes around 2 n a half hours, or I go by bike and save an hour. . There is the fatigue stress and such but time is money. I can sleep an extra hour in the morning

Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?
What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.
You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
I offer only the truth, nothing more.
Take: The Red Pill
Take: The Blue Pill
spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
I know. That's why it's going to work.
