How do I put deviations into thumbnails? (For SDL duel submissions.)

In the deviation there should be three codes you can copy: Link, Embed and Thumb. You want the thumb code. To my knowledge thumbs will only show up in notes, chatrooms and journals(if you subscribe to dA).

Premium membership just lets you put thumbs in your journals. They'll still show up in notes and chatrooms without being a subscriber though.

When you click on the deviation you want the thumb of scroll down to the Artist's Comments. Next to that there should be a side column with Details, Statistics, Share among other possible options. Under Share, you'll see it says "Thumb" and a code that looks like :thumb87332337: Just copy/paste the code from the deviation you want a thumb of and put it into a note.
