The first thing they do when they make anime films is draw a storyboard. Then, if the idea gets approved, they go on to draw what are called the in-betweens. If they draw say a frame per second for the storyboard, and the normal frame rate for a movie is 16-32 frames per second, then they have 1 frame... this means they have to draw 15-31 other frames for just 1 second of footage! As if that's not enough, once they're finished w/ the in-betweens in pencil, they have to go back and ink them in! After they're finished inking them in, they have to HAND PAINT every single frame and make sure the colors match!!!! I would lika to say... HOLY CRAP!!!!
