Ali Plumb, Tom Yarrow, Tom R-W, etc etc! Pretty much everyone who I've spoken to from Wincol has said that it's a prison...are you surprised?

elquin96 In reply to melodramatic-madame [2005-11-01 08:21:15 +0000 UTC]
I suppose not... Its pretty damn insular as schools or colleges go, but more comfortable than a prison I think.

Yeah, I've done alot of choreography for various people and I've done some professional work already, so I'm kind of already making my career now. Good luck with Oxford, I know several people there.

I doubt it. Do you know the Mayflower Theatre? They have a pantomime every year, I performed in that for 2 years running. Doubt you saw them.

haha, well that's all cool. Do you ever take part in any of the productions at Wincol?

elquin96 In reply to melodramatic-madame [2005-11-05 17:06:10 +0000 UTC]
Yes, Ive done a fair bit behind the scenes, and the odd bit of directing. I did sound for King Lear and lighting for a few other productions, and Im about to direct our house play. Im not much of an actor

I saw King Lear, I was very impressed. Obviously the sound made the whole show a success!

But of course
Actually the storm scene was one of the most complicated Ive ever done, and Si Taylor wanted it just right - it had to be quiet in some places, but deafening in others, often within 10 lines of each other. Not to mention the fanfares that had to fade out just as the actors came on
It was Tom Yarrow who really carried it though, he is an incredible actor, if a little worrying when he plays a senile man that well...

that's very true. Of course, if you had seen Guys and Dolls you would have seen a very sweet and rather stupid side to his acting! I have yet to see a bad production with Tom or Ali Khan in...
