I have been a terribly obsessive New Zealander fan of New Zealand for some time now - it's rather embarrassing tbh XDD

but yes - I am totally holding out for a tomboy!female!New Zealand - a brunette would be nice - because for some reason I don't see my country as a blonde - but thats just me XDD and really the hair colour is fine as long as its a girl amirite?

BUT YES - pretty much the only way I envision NZ is as a quiet, stubborn badass, I mean SHE FLIPPING KICKED GERMANY'S BUTT SEVERAL TIMES IN WWII DESPITE HER SIZE so she is pretty badass
Hetalia needs more girls and a badass androgynous tomboy is definitely the way to go <3333

Ahh that is a very valid point - but I also see her hair curl as a koru - which is very symbolic in New Zealand culture [link] (representing young/new life/growth/future etc)
Though I don't colour her hair so dark brown anymore I still try to stay away from anything to bright blonde - like male characters in Hetalia - there are also too many blondes on the dancefloor XDD
Though this is totally just my own opinion - I love any fanart of New Zealand despite hair colour <333333
