i liked it very much. i have a bit of claustrophobia, so it made the whole experience even more interesting^^ i've never really been a fan of hoods, but since i tried this one on - i love them!

they are fantastic, that's for sure to act (and look) like someone else is so funny and relaxing! you're planning to buy one for yourself?
but wasn't it very difficult to feel comfortable if you have a bit of claustrophobia?

i probably will buy one when i have enough money. it was uncomfortable at first, i almost panicked, but then i kind of took control over my fear. that's what made it such an experience. it was amazing to feel that i have the power to win over this.

if you liked it i can assure you, that you can buy very cheap ones, which are also nice. gas masks for example are very cheap. on the other hand there are very expensive masks from, let's say skintwo or marquis, but they are worth every dime ^^
i really like it how you could come over your fear! you do experience a lot of difficult shootings?

nitropet In reply to enrico-palazzo [2011-05-16 19:28:39 +0000 UTC]
the shootings are mostly not difficult - it's the consequences that are. my muscles are always sore the day after. i try to be creative all the time while shooting, so i try new poses and it happens all the time that right when i come up with a really unbearable pose, the photographers go like "yes! that's it! keep that pose!". so i do my best to look relaxed while, for instance, bending my back so that i can hardly keep the balance, and all my weight rests on the toes of my left foot... afterwards i usually have hard time walking the day after. but i still love it i'm kind of a masochist, i guess.

And what do you do to relax between the sessions? Maybe you could take yoga classes Actually… that might help! The whole opposite to wearing ballet boots (wasn’t that difficult?).
By the way, you would be the first masochist from Sweden (nice country) I know ^^

i'm actually from poland, but i've been living in sweden for a couple of years now. to relax i usually take a bath. yoga is relaxing, but i find it hard to concentrate on relaxing while doing it... it's a bit complicated^^' and stretching is not a problem for me - for some reason i've never had to do any kind of stretching exercise, and i can still do things that most people can't.
i love ballet boots and i actually enjoy walking in them. that may sound strange, but i think they're more comfortable than most high heels.

The only thing about Yoga I’ve known was, that I never could do those poses although I did martial arts back in the day. I think it can be fantastic, but for me… well… I never could relax, posing as a corkscrew
Yes indeed, it sounds strange how can they be more comfortable? I have no idea about walking in those shoes, I just know, that I love the look.

usuall high heels make the foot curve in an uncomfortfable way. the whole weight of the body rests on a sensitive spot behind the toes, and the heel itself is in a possition that causes the heel to ache.
ballet boots on the other hand support the foot. the hard thing about walking in them is not keeping the balance on the toes - the toes pretty much hang in the shoe, as it's laced tight around the foot. it's keeping the balance as your feet don't actually touch the ground that is difficult.
besides that, the boots keep the foot in a much more comfortable position thatn usuall heels. it's not curved in any strange and abnormal way. it's pretty much like having normal sneakers, but pointing the toes down all the time. and the toes don't support all the weight.
gosh, that was a long explonation^^

wow, that is one mother of a explaination, thank you very much! as i understand it, it doesn't hurt at all, but it needs some practice?
might i ask you if you have a general interest in wearing fetish cloth?
by the way why did you leave poland?

i have a general interest in all clothing and shoes, as all women do^^ but when it comes to fetish, i'm quite interested in the whole idea behind it. the reasons why people turn to fetish.
i moved to sweden together with my mother, who found a job here. but i'm a traveler - i'm convinced that i will not stay in sweden. i want to study in some other country (haven't decided which one yet), and then move to another, perhaps canada.

I think turning to fetish is a great way to forget about the daily routine. It’s some sort of theatre for me. Although wearing and watching are quite different. Maybe the masks are a good example. Watching someone wearing one is like watching a totally anonymous person, even without facial expression which is quite interesting because of the tension caused by the impossibility to “read” the face. It’s even a little bit animalistic or, for some, the extinction of humanity which may result in the loss of inhibition. Wearing a mask is different because it is the inversion of what I said before, but with the same effect. But it’s a lot more interesting, because it something which takes not only place in someones mind, but also has some kind of physical effect which can be a booster. I mean, the loss of your normal perception turns up the volume of all your other senses and, of course, your fantasy. That’s what makes wearing masks and latex so entertaining. And the most extreme, heavy rubber, may seem totally pervert, but in my point of view it’s the fetichists bungee jump and hell, it’s cool.
What’s the most interesting thing about Sweden you might tell someone who have never ever been to that nice country?
You want to study? Have you already decided what to study? I studied fine arts. Bad idea ^^ When I got my academic title it occurred to me, that you can’t make a living of it.

Ouch, that must have been kind of painful. I'm actually going through a lot of stress when it comes to this decision. Modelling isn't either anything you can make a living of, but i hope that maybe fashion design is. Since I was little, I always liked dressing my dolls, then I would sew clothes for them out of old stockings. Later on I was good in art classes, and my favourite part of the day was when I got out of the shower and I would make all possible kinds of clothing using my imagination and towel, while drying. Nowdays I try to learn the basics of sewing on my own, and I will hopefully be accepted to some good school, where I can evolve my passion for creating clothing. I hope to some day create my own label of alternative clothing, but it would be more cool to change the whole face of fashion- starting with the demands put upon fashion models.
Sweden is actually not that interesting as a country. And people are mostly boring. But a couple of places worth visiting are of course Stockholm and its Old Town, then Malmö, since i looks a lot like Stockholm but cleaner and actually bigger somehow, then Visby, which is on an island. Every summer there is a medieval week held in Visby, so that's quite interesting. Many young people here are so called "lajvare" - that means they're involved in guilds that take care of LARPs (going to a place and living like in medieval times for a couple of days, then returning to the modern society). I think that's pretty much the most interesting thing they do around here.

It sounds like that this is something you really want to do. Have you pictures of your own designs? And where would you like to visit a good school?
By the way, mornings can be so cruel... I'm still half asleep ^^
I've always thought Sweden would be a great chance for a holiday, but now it sounds a little bit like a big IKEA to me Oh, have you read „Let me in“, that swedish vampire story?

Yes, and I've also seen the swedish version of the movie. I love both the book and the movie. I'm not sure what I think about the american version yet, since I haven't seen it, but from experience I know that hollywood is good at making good horrors and thrillers into typical, boring slashers (like for instance the ring or the grudge). It doesn't really feel good to know that now they're taking even this movie from the world and try to remake it. I still ask myself why they'd do something like that, it feels completely meaningless.
I would actually like to study in Japan, since the japanese culture is a great source of inspiration for alternative clothing. I'm currently working on a design combining a dress in yukata-style, with a corset. It's just a simple idea, and I come up with my own design of a corset that mostly resembles waist-part of a dress in early medieval style. So far i have a dress and two skirts that i've done from scratch. I've also redone a corset from the original, victorian romantic style to a cybergoth style, but it was also an easy piece of work.
To begin with, I have to go some courses in sewing and drawing, after I'm finished with high school. First after that I can apply to any other fashion school. I need a portfolio and I need to learn how to sew things like pants and shorts. I'm a self-learner, but I don't dare trying to sew a pair of pants without somebody telling me exactly what to do. I also find sewing the waistline difficult, and I don't have enough money to buy a mannequin and fabric to start experimenting.

I haven’t seen the movie, but I’ve heard the remake is pretty decent. One of the rare exceptions. But I hate it, that Hollywood already shot this one not even a year after the original movie. It’s already ridiculous, that they redo a lot of old American movies, but it’s embarrassing, that they do it with foreign movies because the American Audience doesn’t seem to be willing to accept other cultures in their movies. Okay, I don’t have a clue about Japanese culture, but maybe I would know a little bit more, if I could see the original Japanese versions instead of the American mainstream version they broadcast and publish in European countries. Some of these movies even do not work anymore because they are lacking the original context. I would like to know how they did the final scene in their version of Let the right one in. The Swedish one was awesome! The whole movie was awesome! The look was so cold and kind of hopeless, but still eye-catching… I love that movie. Although the german synchronization sucks.
Since I don’t know what that means, I have to ask What is the yukata-stye? And hey, I would love to see the cybergoth corset. Um, that does remind me of asking you, if you know about steampunk?
What’s so difficult about sewing the waistline? Me, for example is not able to sew buttons ^^
Oh, just being curious, what do you think about my little theory regarding fetish clothes? I got it on the fly, when I was writing it and it does make sense to me hehe

nitropet In reply to enrico-palazzo [2011-05-19 18:19:04 +0000 UTC]
A yukata is like a kimono. Though kimono is much more expensive. The easy way to put it is that kimonos are worn by rich and important people or on important ocasions, yukatas are worn by everyone else.
Maybe in a while I'll put up some pictures of my own designs. In a few months I will work with a photographer who's taking pictures for an art book. On that shoot I will probably wear one of my own designs, since the idea for the image was also mine.
The waistline is difficult since that's the one thing you really have to do right, otherwise the dress, the pants or skrirt or shirt will not sit properly. And also it's important that all of the parts you're sewing are symmetrical. I guess we all have a thing we're bad at sewing^^
Yeah, I know about steampunk. That's the other interesting thing here in Sweden - we also have steampunk convents. My friends go to them. I know a couple of people who are crazy about steampunk and every spring they organize a steampunk tea-party in my town. This year it's on May the 28th and I intend to be there.
I think that everyone has their own theory about fetish and clothing, and the own theory works best for the person. We all have our reasons and kinks, and that's why fetish is liberating. It's good to have a theory or a reason though. I think that a person who gets involved in fetish and doesn't know why, should really be carefull, because it's easy to end up somewhere you don't want to be. Fetish is for strong individuals, even if they sometimes may not see themselves as strong. The important thing is that you know why you like it and why you're doing it, and that's something nobody can take away from you.

amazing, that would be one reason for loving sweden. the steampunk designs are so freakin' gorgeous. especially the machines and the art design of the buildings. it's a shame there are no more comic books or artbooks about it and the clothing is very cool too.!
