We're wanting to extend and expand our content since the previous group seemed to come across as more limiting. Also, we wanted to associate our group with a different name since "Yuri" has a lot of negative connotations in the LGBTQIA* community. We personally perceive it in the non-harmful aspect, but we know it's different for a majority of people! We would've just kept the group if we could just change the name, but you have to upgrade to a supergroup which neither of us can afford :( (Sad) So, we're looking at this as an opportunity to start fresh and find new horizons! And, we hope to see you there once again as a valued member C':

It's quite alright! Ask as many questions as you like! You see, similarly to Yaoi, it and Yuri can be viewed as negative due to the harmful depiction of same-sex couples in that genre, not to mention the fetishization/objectification of homosexuality. So ultimately, even though these same-sex couples are being "represented" in Yaoi and Yuri, the content is typically homophobic and the relationships are very unhealthy and abusive. Genres like Shounen-ai and Shoujo Ai, however, are better and healthier depictions of same-sex relationships and are recommendable!

As for LGBT, alot of people simply refer to it that way, but since more letters have been added over the years I'm personally more comfortable with saying LGBTQIA* to make sure everyone is and feels included! The extra letters such as QIA* stand for Queer, Intersex, Asexual/Ace Spectrum, and the asterisk* represents genders and sexualities not listed in the main letters such as Pansexuality and nonbinary genders, etc! C:

We felt that the previous group was limiting due to it seeming like we were only and strictly allowing art of just Cisgendered women as well as women only in lesbian relationships. That came off as very phobic to us once we realized and yikes! We're not about that! We're very open and accepting to trans women, intersex women, nonbinary women, or simply female-aligning people, as well as women of other sexualities and we wanted to express that properly with our new group!
