Hey Rhi,

How are you doing? Man that's so sweet that you've stayed in touch and I really appreciate the kindness.
So tell me how is work treating you? Ya know, considering all the crazy shit that's going on I've still managed to
stay positive. Where the "me" from a few yeas back hadn't mastered going with the flow - the "me" today has pretty
much got that down.

I've managed to pick up freelance work while I've been out interviewing at various agencies here in Birmingham.
Aside from that I've applied for unemployment and can at least get back the money I've paid into the system all these
years that I've worked. Home life is pretty chill. I've been skateboarding, mountain biking and hanging out with my
recent rescue buddy Louie (the dog I found on the kayaking trip a few months back). I've been lucky to have great friends!

A couple weeks back one buddy came into town on his way down to the Orange Beach Alabama for Widespread Panic. It was a
pretty badass show and Louie made the trek with us. Between partying on the beach and then the two days of shows we had
a great time. Then last weekend another friend was going down to New Orleans to relax and asked me to come. When she met
Louie it was all over. She asked if he could come. Am I saying "no"? No way!! He's a badass road traveler, so we packed
him up again and he was thrilled.

Now I'm back and working on another freelance logo job.
I'm dating a girl who is extremely sweet. We're just friends which we're both happy with. My divorce papers were signed
and that's made final a couple weeks ago so I didn't have to feel guilty about even simply dating even though my wife's
been gone since January.

(Oh - and our divorce isn't anything secret. If you ever want to know, I'll tell you.)

So Summer is seeming to be okay thus far, just a little nerve wracking finding a job in a city that's new to me and a
market I'm not as familiar with. I've got my eye on a couple of fine dining restaurants that need trained chefs and am
ready to jump back into the kitchen if need be. To that point I have been cooking like crazy at home. Luckily I've had a
freezer stocked with stuff for months which is good. Eating is sorta good, right?

So anything new and interesting happening in your life?
I take it you're still shooting / and all of the time like always? Dammit girl - you've got SO much talent it's scary.

But I'm really glad hear that you're doing better, moving on from your divorce and getting some new work. Should be good, the brain does need stimulation after all

Work is good actually, should be up for a promotion soon enough, yeah boi!!
Haha, i'm also moving out of home in about 3 months, i've decided to move in with some friendds. It's mainly because my parents want to move further away and it's far from work, i'm just starting out financially so that'll definitely cost me way more in fuel

My mum doesn't seem to be taking the news lightly, pretty much ever since I told her she hasn't really been the same, she doesn't seem to think that I can do it, which is kind of a mood killer. My dad is fairly supportive, but it's sort of the same again, he seems to think I can't do it. It just sucks, i know i'm young but I know I can do it, I've been saving almost my whole pay packet for a while now, I've showed a commitment and started to save money, and it's for nothing in particular, just for the future, i thought that would be enough..

Ah, not as much lately, I've been really tied up in work, but I still love to obviously
I do want to be a photographer, but it's not really on my list of things to do at the moment, maybe later on in life

nothing gave me more pleasure than to help folks with subs, but i'm not in that position now. perhaps in the future!

I have received my artwork ordered from the store. I have also received the Shepard Fairey poster which there was about a week time lag between the two. I've still not received my sticker pack, but figure these things are coming from different places so there's going to be some delay.

Thank you my friend. Well, I was concerned and wrote the dA admin's about the timing back in January. If you have not done so yet, perhaps a little note of inquiry may help them to "call their people" and move things along. I'm glad you received your Shepard poster, but as the first place winner you have quite a few other things coming your way. Maybe that is the reason it's taking so long.
